Don’t be put off by its salt-shaker-like appearance. A sprinkle of hair powder can transform flat strands into textured waves and voluminous updos in a flash.
“Hair powder creates incredible volume – it’s my backstage secret weapon,” enthuses Mark Hampton, Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe global hair ambassador. “Unlike dry shampoos, powders are generally more concentrated so will give a more dramatic effect,” he says.
Application also slightly differs. “Whereas dry shampoo can be sprayed all over, hair powders require a more specific, targeted application,” he explains.
