You may know her for her iconic pony, but let's be real: while she may prefer her hair up (blame that on years of having to dye it crimson), Ariana Grande is far from someone who plays it safe in the beauty game.
In fact, we've seen her with pretty much every hair colour under the sun, from black to brown to blonde (and yes, of course that raspberry red), and while she may also have a pretty serious penchant for winged liner, she's still rocked a few bold and brave beauty looks in her time.
So, whether you were a Victorious stan from the very beginning, or earned your Arianator stripes once she started her worldwide takeover as our generation's most beloved popstar, we’ll bet you’ll enjoy taking a look back at her entire beauty evolution…
Back when she was just a baby Broadway star, Grande was all about embracing her gorgeous dark natural curls and fresh faux glow-free skin.
After landing her breakout role of Cat Valentine on Nickeloden hit Victorious, Grande officially entered her red velvet hair chapter, dyed to represent the character's favourite cupcake flavour.
While the raspberry colour upkeep was no doubt frequent during shooting, it faded back toward her signature raven shade between seasons.
Grande seriously upped the glamour game around age 17, swapping her more natural makeup vibe for gold shadow and a little lip gloss.
While she's been very open about the struggles that came with constant colour appointments, we must admit we feel for Grande and her red-fringed forehead here; her poor skin.
Keeping the red refreshed may not have been easy, but it did work extremely well with a matching cherry lip; very Jessica Rabbit.
Goodbye, Cat Valentine. In 2012 we got a much better look into Grande's own personal style, as she celebrated the final fade-away of the crimson colour with a triumphant pink lip.
Yes indeed, her half-up-half-down 'do's walked so her iconic ponies could run. Grande took full advantage of her new neutral hair hue with a metallic and pastel headband.
Debuting her lightest locks yet, she kept her makeup low-maintenance with a subtle lick of liner and a muted mauve lip.
All hail the down-do – Grande proved she looks just as gorgeous with any style, rocking a dark-to-milk chocolate balayage blend and a slightly off-centre part.
The exposed part didn't last long, but this boysenberry lip more than made up for it; the edgy shade is stunning against her golden glow.
Pulling attention back to her cocoa-coloured doe eyes, Grande taught a masterclass in exactly how to master a winged liner look.
She upped the eye makeup ante yet again a year later with a significantly smokier eye than she's usually spotted with.
It was back to a rich, deep chocolate colour later that year, accompanied by a classic cat-eye and a lot of lashes.
Putting a twist on her signature pony, Grande opted for a full front fringe and a choc-caramel colour blend. Bonus points for the crimped ends, too.
We must say, bold lips are magic on her, and this oxblood situation is no different. We're also very into the intricate braids.
After taking some time out of the spotlight following the tragic events of her 2017 tour, Grande made a return to the public eye with a new platinum blonde hue.
It wasn't long until she was back to brunette, doing tonal makeup like a pro with hazelnut hues across her eyes, lips and skin.
In her last red carpet appearance before lockdown, Grande was the picture of glamour with her signature sky-high style and a wing sharp enough to slice.
She swapped her vanilla latte look for her beloved brunette in isolation, and her hair has never looked glossier.
But seriously, why have one ponytail with one colour throughout it when you can have two featuring two shades? Her latest look is our favourite yet, and we can't wait to see what she does next.
