We don’t know where we’d be without concealer, but the truth is even concealer has its limitations. That’s where colour correctors step in. Available in four different shades, each one is designed to neutralise different kinds of discolouration. Want to know how it works? We spoke to Napoleon Perdis’ Global Makeup Artist Siobhan Kelly to learn which colour corrector tone to use according to your discolouration concern.

Yellow colour correctors

What it does: Highlights. “It
 has the potential to really
lift the face,” confirms Kelly.

When to use it: After foundation, apply to the top of the cheekbones, the Cupid’s bow and the bridge of the nose using an eyeshadow brush. Set with a powder.

Product pick: Napoleon Perdis Mighty Concealer Pen in Mellow Yellow.

Peach colour correctors

What it does: Counteracts dark circles, pigmentation, sun
 spots and unwanted tattoos.

When to use it: After foundation, tap
a little bit onto dark areas using a small synthetic brush. To cover any unwanted tattoos, dip a tapered eyeliner brush into your concealer and apply onto the outline of the tattoo. Set using a pressed powder.

Product pick: Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach.
