As we type, many of the world’s hottest celebrities have flocked to Madison Square Garden in New York for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The VMAs often deliver memorable beauty looks that range from simply stunning to completely outrageous, and whilst this year is no different, we’ve also seen a trend emerge that could possibly be the easiest hairstyle you’ll ever recreate – wet hair.

Setting the trend is Kim Kardashian, Sports Illustrated model Ashley Graham and Zara Larsson, who have all styled their tresses in a ‘just showered’ look.

Kim Kardashian

The reality star and mum-of-two was the first to showcase the wet looking hairstyle. Her textured and messy style was sectioned into a deep part with one side tucked behind her ear and the other left to fall loosely over her bare shoulder.

Ashley Graham

The Sports Illustrated model debuted her shorter hairstyle on her Instagram just hours before the event but managed to mix things up further by jumping on the wet hair bandwagon, which, like Kim’s was also sectioned with a deep part.

Zara Larsson

One of our favourite beauty looks from the evening came from Zara Larsson as she paired a stunning makeup look with an edgy take on the shower-and-go ‘do. The singer’s ashy blonde hair was slicked back at the front and left to fall down her back – a style that we seriously can’t get enough of.

To get the look, liberally finger comb hair gel through your lengths. Manipulate your strands into place before it sets in place. It’s that easy.
