Even Margot Robbie made some faux glow faux pas

Looking at Margot Robbie nowadays, it almost appears like she emerged from some kind of ridiculously beautiful person factory that specialises in the perfect shade of creamy blonde and flawlessly glowing skin.
But while this generation's TikTok teens seem to be skipping over the awkward stage altogether (rude, right?), even some of the most gorgeous and glamorous Aussie actresses were not that lucky (which we appreciate; it's way more relatable).
Yep, their closets are full of beauty skeletons like over-plucked brows, dodgy fake tans and makeup looks that were a little, er, OTT, and honestly, the world is a better place for it.
So in the name of nostalgia, we’re taking a look back at the amazing before-and-after beauty transformations of some of our favourite locally loved starlets...
There's no doubt that Byrne is pretty much incapable of looking bad, but let's just say this front-fringe-and-thin-brows combo didn't do her any favours.
Fisher's hair part may have stayed the same, but we're glad she's all about letting the true copper tones of her hair shine these days; nobody rocks vibrant red like she does.
Lips lighter than your skin is rarely a good look, but above all else, we're most thrilled that Robbie has since figured out how to use eyeliner to her advantage, rather than her detriment. A big bravo to her makeup artist Pati Dubroff, too.
While Kelley's baby face was beautiful too, the razor-sharp bone structure she boasts now is pretty phenomenal. And though she switches her hair colour up often, this bronde is definitely a vibe.
Okay, we won't lie; we still stan a hot pink lippy and generously applied mascara combo. Weaving's current toffee-toned aesthetic sure does make her bright blue eyes pop, though.
Palmer has definitely eased off of the brightly bleached blonde and shimmery makeup in recent years, and we're big fans of her more understated aesthetic.
Tonkin's still a fan of a slicked back hair moment, but she's since swapped heavy charcoal smokey eyes and frosted pink lip gloss for more muted options in the makeup game.
Wilson's blonde bangs are one of her most iconic features, so it's wild to see her without them. Her brow journey gives us hope though, and those rosy cheeks are still going strong.
We all did the pale blue eyeshadow and glossy crimson lip pairing back in the day, so no judgment here. Lucas left bright-on-bright vibes in the '00s, though, opting now for chicer mattes and nudes.
