From the red carpet to Instagram, wigs are everywhere. Celebrities just seem to love them.

Hell, Kylie Jenner has a whole wardrobe just to house her immense collection of varying styles.

And, we don’t know about you, but we find immense joy in speculating whether a celebrity has undergone a legit hair switcharoo or donned a wig for the day.

From colourful, crazy cuts to the hard-to-clock, these are some of the best celebrity wig moments we’ve witnessed:

Saweetie

The Tap In rapper recently wore the hell out of a hip-length jet black number. The loose waves were paired with an undone silk shirt and stunna shades for a pared back version of Saweetie’s iconic icy style.

Chrissy Teigen

The model and mum-of-two recently donned a purple, wavy number with a classic middle part for a fun twist on her usually bronde locks. Her caption? “the wig life ... chose me.” And honestly, we’re so glad it did.

Dua Lipa

The singer went somewhat wig-crazy on the set for her latest British Vogue cover shoot, wearing a number of interesting short ‘dos, including this Marilyn Monroe-inspired curly crop.

Doja Cat

Possibly one of the most impressive and adventurous wig-wearing popstars of our time, Doja’s high-shine take on a rose-gold pixie is giving us heart-eyes.

Rihanna

Though this may not be the bad gal’s first foray into the world of mullets, we love the popstar's wavy, vacay-friendly “second-take” on the edgy style.

Lizzo

Outrageous from start to finish, this wild look from Lizzo is giving us serious Lil’ Kim vibes. The centre-parted mermaid-waved blonde lengths are making us nostalgic for the days of ‘90s hip-hop music videos.

Kylie Jenner

Looking like a chip off the old block, King Kylie pinched her mum’s signature dark crop, pairing the chocolate brown tresses with an exaggerated cat-eye that screams ‘60s siren Sophia Loren.
