Looking for a reason to give your makeup kit an update? We’ll give you 10: here are our team’s most coveted new products this month.
R+Co Skyline Dry Shampoo Powder
You may typically associate dry shampoo with aerosol cans, but R+Co Skyline Dry Shampoo Powder is here to seriously shake things up. Housed in a pump bottle, it distributes the loose dry shampoo powder evenly into your roots, and the powder is so finely milled it becomes invisible once misted into your hair.
Sisley Phyto-Kohl Star Waterproof
A good waterproof eyeliner is hard to find. If they’re super smudgy (great for smoky eye looks), they rarely boast longevity, but when they’re not just waterproof but seriously budge-proof, they don’t glide across the eyes as easily. The Sisley Phyto-Kohl Star Waterproof liners are the perfect balance as the formula is super creamy but really stays put, even when you get caught in the rain. What we also love about these liners is they have the tiniest hint of sparkle, which is a plus for brightening tired-looking peepers instantly.
Sukin Purely Ageless Reviving Eye Cream
Featuring a blend of green coffee to counteract dark circles, rosehip oil to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and pure ribose to boost energy levels in skin cells, Sukin’s Purely Ageless Reviving Eye Cream combats all your top eye concerns in one hit, and is ideal for all skin types to use. What’s also worth noting is that this product has been clinically proven to reduce the first signs of ageing by up to 78 percent in just 14 days.
Ardell Faux Mink Lashes in Demi Wispies
False lash addicts, listen up. Ardell’s newest Faux Mink Lashes have just launched and they are super soft and feathery to touch. On top of that, they’re also fitted with a flexible band that makes application much easier. We love the Demi Wispies style because they’re extra fluffy and are so elongating they ook like you’ve got lash extensions on.
Phyto Paris Phytolium 4
Launched in Paris by hairstylist Patrick Alès in 1969, Phyto Paris is a haircare brand that harnesses botanical ingredients to not only make hair look healthy, but actually improve the quality of your locks. “What we do at Phyto Paris is we really treat from the inside - from the scalp and to the ends through a five-step ritual,” says Myriam Welsh, Regional Brand and Marketing Director for Phyto Paris. “It is a very holistic approach to treating your hair.” One product that really stands out is Phytolium 4, a series of at-home treatments that support new hair growth and boost density, as well as help prevent premature thinning of hair. Welsh explains further: “Our product treats two different causes of hair loss - hereditary and hormonal, and can grow up to 6000 new hairs which is totally incredible. We have a really scientific approach; we clinically test every product to guarantee results.” We’re sold.
LUMA Natural Radiance Bronzing Primer
One sure-fire way to hang on to that summer glow this autumn? With a bronzing primer like LUMA Natural Radiance Bronzing Primer, which boasts crushed pearls in its formula to really pep up your skin. Use it on its own for a subtle glow all over, or try layering it under your foundation to increase your makeup’s luminosity.
CND Vinylux in Candied
Light pink nail polish rocked the red carpet at the Oscars recently, and for obvious reasons: they let the rest of your outfit or makeup really shine, they can visually elongate your fingernails, and the colour works on all nail shapes and lengths. This month, we’re reaching for CND Vinylux in Candied from the Chic Shock range; it’s a blue-based pink that’s chip-free and lasts for up to two weeks on your digits.
Aerin Hibiscus Palm EDP
When a delightful little Aerin bag was delivered to the office, we couldn’t help but spritz this liberally all over. And it sure drew the crowds. We had about six people from all areas of our open-plan office come over to see what the heavenly scent they could smell was. Our Editor, Carli Alman, still can’t get enough of this new fragrance. “This is a truly delightful scent that’s just the right combination of fruity, floral and sweet. It’s perfect when you need a summer-inspired pick-me-up.” If you’re a fan of lotus flower, hibiscus and white blossoms then you’re in luck; this sweet-smelling juice is just the thing or you.
Jonny + June Original Balm
Enriched with baobab and lilly pilly, this multitasker can promote beautiful and healthy-looking hair. “It's a nice multipurpose balm that you can use to boost hydration, prevent frizz and even before blow-drying to prep the hair,” says our Content Director, Alex Noonan. “I like to smooth a less-than-a-pea-sized amount over the top of my hair when it's in a ponytail to smooth down fly-aways.”
Ella Baché Eternal+ Collagen Sculpting Serum
If ageing skin, such as sagging and lack of elasticity, is your main concern, then you might want to give this serum a go. It’s filled with oat sugar, which can lift and tone and maslinic acid (from olives) to fight free radicals, along with a host of other amino acids to seriously firm up your skin.
