With just a couple of weeks until Christmas (but who’s counting?!), we’ve started compiling our shopping lists for our friends and family… oh, and not to mention, ourselves! So what are you waiting for… here’s our guide to the new beauty products you should try this month.
Frank Body Rose Gold Scrub
You may usually associate shimmer with makeup, but your shower routine can get in on the fun, too. Frank Body Rose Gold Scrub is - yep, you guessed it - a rose gold exfoliator that’s packed with tiny flecks of earth-friendly mica shimmer, along with sugar and salt particles to slough away dead skin and coffee seed oil to boost collagen production.
Floris London Vert Fougère EDP
The latest addition to the Floris fragrance family is Vert Fougère EDP, a green and herbaceous blend of galbanum, bergamot, neroli, lavender and patchouli. But, like all Floris scents, this is no ordinary spritz; the divine unisex perfume is lightened up with grapefruit and ginger, and boosted with cedarwood and smoke to really keep things interesting.
Max Factor Colour Elixir Velvet Matte Lipstick
They’re smooth and they’re silky. Max Factor’s Colour Elixir Velvet Matte Lipsticks are the perfect finishing touch to any makeup look. Need another reason to grab these this month? Turns out they work beautifully on your cheeks, too. “I love using lipstick as blush as [wearing] the same colours on both cheeks and lips gives an overall more polished feel to the makeup,” says Liz Kelsh, makeup artist and ambassador for Max Factor. “The trick is [to] have a speedy application, blending before it sets. Less is definitely more as it’s a lot easier to build up the colour than it is to pare it back.” Do it like the pros by dabbing the lipstick onto your ring finger to apply it to the apples of your cheeks.
Maybelline New York Dream Urban Cover Foundation
When it comes to new foundation formulas, it’s no longer good enough to only offer coverage or be a nourishing formula that hydrates skin. Maybelline’s Dream Urban Cover Foundation has set the bar high with a superblend of antioxidants to protect skin from oxidative stress, as well as a full-coverage formula that contains SPF40 sun protection. Incredible.
Remington Curl & Straight Confidence Hair Straightener
We get it - curling your hair with a straightener is a technique that’s hard to master, not to mention, a serious workout for your arms. So, the clever peeps at Remington have designed one that’s *so* clever, we’re wondering why no one thought of this earlier. The Curl & Straight Confidence Hair Straightener features curved plates that allow you to add waves or more intense curls with the slightest tilt of your wrist. Yep, it’s so easy.
Lumira Wilderness By Mount Tomah
You really can’t go past a candle to invigorate your space, and we think the Lumira Wilderness candle is one you’ll want to try this month. Created to support the stunning Blue Mountains botanic garden, Mount Tomah, it’s a captivating blend of earthy herbs, patchouli, berries, pine and a smoky base that lingers in your space for hours after burning it.
Revlon So Fierce!™ Mascara
Boosting the curl and volume in your lashes is exactly what Revlon’s So Fierce!™ Mascara can do in a single swipe. “I normally am a bit of a mascara snob as I do believe that you pay for the quality, however this mascara may have just won me over,” says Review Crew® member Simone. “It was dark, lengthening, thickening and didn’t look flaky. What more could a girl want?!”
Edible Beauty Basking Beauty Natural Sunscreen SPF 50
Not only does Edible Beauty’s newest sunscreen contain SPF 50 sun protection and is waterproof for up to four hours, the formula is completely vegan and contains Kakadu plum extract, camellia seed oil and rosehip to nourish your skin. It’s basically like a moisturiser and sunscreen, rolled into one.
Basics by B Liquid Lip Colours
As an experienced makeup artist and influencer, Bonnie Gillies of Oz Beauty Expert really knows a thing or two about beauty, which is why it was a no-brainer for her to create her own line of makeup products. One of the most coveted items are her Liquid Lip Colours, which come in eight shades that range from pared-back to bright and come in either a matte or creamy formula.
Marc Jacobs Beauty O!mega Glaze All-Over Foil Luminizer in Showstopper
Beyond the jumbo size and the monochromatic packaging, we’re obsessed with the shimmery peach powder inside that promises to make you glow all over. Need we say more?!
Ever wondered how to apply highlighter the *right* way? Here are the three golden rules of applying the shimmery stuff.
