Kayla Itsines proves she’s just like the rest of us in one photo

Kayla Itsines Stretch Marks

An important message that all of us need to hear

Beauty Crew Beauty Writer / July 26 2017

Kayla Itsines is arguably one of the most famous and influential women in the health and fitness world. With a hugely successful fitness empire, over seven million Instagram followers and a body many of us would like to emulate, it’s easy to put her on a pedestal as the perfect woman with the perfect body.

Luckily though, Kayla has a tendency to ‘keep it real’ and recently shared that she too has flaws, just like the rest of us. In a recent post on her Instagram, the fitness queen shared an image of her stretch marks with the caption:

Hey chicks!!! This one is for the ladies asking me if I have stretch marks anywhere, yes I sure do…and if any of my friends or family are on here you know how much I love them!! I am a woman, and I am proud to be one and have these marks! Some of us wont have any at all, some will have them just like me and others will be completely different. We all have them, mine are on the sides of my legs…for now. I'm sure when I decide to have some babies, I'll get some more - but hey, #thisisme My beautiful bubba will be so much more important than a few lines on my bod!”

It’s incredibly easy to want to change certain aspects of our bodies, especially after a lengthy scroll through our Instagram feed. That’s why it’s so refreshing for someone like Kayla, who is both incredibly fit and very healthy, to shine a light on the fact that she has stretch marks and doesn’t just accept them, but wholeheartedly embraces them.
