'The boob manicure' is the body positive nail trend taking over Instagram

Considering we're big fans of both body positivity and nail art trends, a nail art trend that celebrates body positivity is pretty much as good as it gets for us.

Because while we've certainly seen some quirky nail art movements happen over the last few years (we're still very much on the fence re: cheese manicures, FYI), the latest one sweeping social media is one of the breast, er, best we've seen in ages.

Meet boob nail art, the manicure design trend that's all about celebrating breasts, in every shape, size and skin tone.

Some designs are subtle, featuring abstract, beautiful bust illustrations reminiscent of Renaissance paintings, while others go all in with 3D (and surprisingly realistic) takes that have everything from raised nipples to actual piercings. A zillion points for detail there.

The inspiration behind each design differs too. While several were created around Breast Cancer Awareness Month, some were just whipped up to celebrate boobs in all their magical glory. The latest example of the latter? Demi Lovato, who took to her 'gram with a pretty pink look aptly captioned "All boobies are beautiful."

So, whatever your reason, or level of desired realism, we're sure you'll find plenty of boob mani inspo below...
