The best beauty moments from the BRIT Awards 2021
It was all about the hair this year

If there’s one awards show we’ve been looking forward to this year it’s the BRIT Awards. The UK awards show always brings us something unexpected when it comes to beauty and this year was no different.
We think it’s fair to say the Brits themselves have had a rough time of it thanks to COVID-19, so no doubt all the UK-based celebs have been gunning to get out the house and don their best red carpet-worthy garb.
From Dua Lipa to Little Mix, everyone got their glam on and honestly blew the classic beauty looks we’d seen at the Grammys and Oscars red carpets this year out the water – respectively.
These are the best beauty moments the 2021 BRIT Awards had to offer.
While Dua’s height-defying hair and Vivienne Westwood gown may have resembled the type of updo seen at Marie Antoinette’s court, it was her soft pink makeup look that had us staring intently at the singer. It’s the glimmer of soft pink shimmer on her inner corner for us.
When it comes to pulling off the bubble braids trend, singer Griff not only understood the assignment, she might as well have written a book on the bloody subject. Also, can we please talk about the diamante chain that’s woven into the lengthy ‘do?? *chefs kiss*.
The singer’s slicked back wet-look strands and hi-shine shimmer across her lids is giving us mermaid vibes in all the right ways.
From the fairy floss hair to the electric gun-metal blue eyeshadow, this look from musician MNEK was honestly one of our favourites from the star-studded event.
British TV show host Maya Jama was in attendance and looking gorgeous as ever. Jama kept things simple with a classic smokey eye and a stunning glowy base. Can we talk about those expertly shaped arches though?
Little Mix was glowing on the red carpet (and it’s not just because they snagged the award for best British group). Two-thirds of the band (Perry Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock) were toting beautiful baby bumps, while Jade Thirlwall escorted her expectant gal pals to the event rocking a monochromatic burgundy makeup moment.
Lianne La Havas
One of our favourite hair moments of the evening, multi-talented musician Lianne La Havas was seen wearing an intricately braided ponytail, while letting her clear skin be the star of the show when it came to her makeup.
Channeling her inner Marilyn, singer Raye fully committed to the ‘Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend’-inspired look and gave her best flirty poses, batting her eyelashes and showing that Hollywood smile as she sashayed down the red carpet. Divine.
This monochromatic red moment from artist Arlo Parks made the singer-songwriter’s copper curls sing if we do say so ourselves. The matching oxblood suit definitely didn’t hurt either.
