The product

We don’t know about you but anything that helps to streamline our nighttime routine so we can hop into bed faster for some much-needed beauty sleep is a winner in our books. We mean, who wants to layer serum after serum when you could slather on one hydrating moisturiser packed full of actives that does all of the hard yards for you?

Our prayers have been answered by cult-brand CeraVe in the form of CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion PM, a lightweight night cream for normal to dry skin that’s allergy-tested, non-comedogenic, and free from nasties like fragrance and parabens.

This moisturiser is enriched with three essential ceramides that work to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, while hyaluronic acid provides lasting hydration and niacinamide improves the overall appearance of skin.

As well as CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion PM, reviewers received CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 15, and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser to try.

The panel

Beauty Crew invited a panel of women aged 25 to 34 with normal to dry skin to participate in a hands-on Review Crew® Discovery Suite with CeraVe. CeraVe's Scientific Communications Manager Rachel McAdam and BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor Iantha Yu led an informative Q&A panel on the brand's hero products: CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion PM and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, and their new launch CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 15.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion PM.

The active-packed formula: Our members loved that the formula was enriched with nourishing actives like essential ceramides, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, meaning they were able to streamline their nighttime routine by not having to layer on serum after serum every night.

The lightweight, hydrating finish: Reviewers were impressed by just how lightweight the night cream was considering how hydrated it left their skin, and a few of our members have even started using the night cream on warmer days when they want a lighter finish on the skin.

It’s sensitive-skin friendly: Our more sensitive-skinned members noted that this was one of the few hydrating moisturisers that didn’t aggravate their skin; in fact, they found that it left their skin feeling soothed and nourished.

The verdict

“I live for this product, this is the first 'night cream' that my face has tolerated and loved without breaking out or coming out in a super sexy rash. The lotion is super light and turns into an almost water on your skin so it doesn't feel heavy or clammy as you go to sleep. This has joined the ranks of my must haves, which is very hard to do, having worked in beauty for years I am particular about what I put on my skin and what I choose to repurchase. But this has 100% made the cut! If I could bathe in it I would.”

“I’m such a big fan of the brand, almost all its products have active ingredients such as ceramides, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid in them, making them great multitaskers that work extra hard for your skin. Great if you’re someone who wants a simple routine, or makes it easy to layer your actives. Whilst all being fragrance free! This lotion is beautiful and light, even though it says for pm, it’s beautiful to use in the morning as well especially in summer when you want something a bit lighter that absorbs quickly.”
