eBay.com.au has revealed Australia’s top beauty buying trends for 2019 in the online marketplace and we are rather intrigued.

This year alone, eBay.com.au predicts Australians will spend nearly $140 million on beauty with a whopping $11 million this month alone.

While that isn’t good news for our wallets, we’re pretty excited for our faces!

Here are the top four beauty buying trends for Australians in 2019, according to eBay.com.au.

# 4 / Sleep-ordering the new sleep walking

Ok, let’s kick things off with one of eBay’s stranger beauty stats, because who doesn’t love a weird fact?!

eBay Australia has revealed that 15 per cent of Australians make their purchases in the wee hours of the morning between midnight and 9am.

Anyone else guilty of accidentally sleep-ordering a new set of Fenty Match Stix? Because, SAME!

# 3 / Beauty is for every gender

Given our own obsession with beauty, we’re not surprised guys want in on the action. Almost one in five beauty purchases on eBay.com.au are now made by men.

# 2 / Celebrity beauty brands are heating up

Celeb beauty brands are still on fire (no surprises there) but it’s no longer just Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian leading the charge in this space.

Rihanna has been busy

eBay’s data reveals that Riri is now the ultimate go-to beauty guru with Fenty Beauty’s sales spiking by 239 per cent already this year.

# 1 / We’re under the influence

When it comes to beauty products, celebs and influencers continue to have a huge impact on what Australians are buying online.

According to eBay, two thirds of millennials now admit that what they view on social media directly influences what they spend their money on.
