And it’s a total bargain

Ok, we’ll be the first to admit that we LOVE a celeb beauty product recommendation. Who better to dish out beauty recs than someone whose day-to-day life in the public eye requires them to look flawless at all times?

But truth be told, the price tags those celeb-approved suggestions come with ain’t always within our wallet’s strike zone.

Case in point? Kim Kardashian’s $1,395 skin care routine.

So when we hear of a celeb beauty bargain buy that we can get at our local Priceline without dropping half our weekly pay cheque, we’re all ears.

Spanish model, actress, film producer and Chris Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky recently took to Instagram while behind-the-scenes on a photo shoot for Spanish shoe label Gioseppo to reveal her favourite highlighter: LUMA On The Glow Highlighter.

Besides costing only $29.95, we’re also pretty thrilled to hear that Elsa is as big of a fan of the Australian beauty brand as we are.

Celebrity makeup artist Sarah Tammer was responsible for Elsa’s gorgeous, glowing look and has generously given us the exclusive lowdown on exactly how she created the look.

And rest assured, during our interview with the makeup artist we demanded she tell us exactly which products were used! As it turns out, not one but two LUMA highlighters were involved!

“Elsa and I are both big LUMA fans. We used LUMA On The Glow Highlighter in Bronze Voyage in the second look on the eyelids, and a flush of this colour on the cheeks too... Bronze Voyage is a beautiful warm pretty bronze that enhances the eye colour and gives the cheeks a glowing healthy bronze flush. The texture is fine and creamy.”

“We also used LUMA On The Glow Highlighter in Cashmere Casbah. This is my FAVOURITE highlighter for the top of the cheekbones, inner corner of the eye and Cupid’s bow. The colour is the perfect mix of cool and warm and the texture is so beautiful on the skin - it’s my dream highlighter.”

If you’d like to recreate your own glowed-up version of Elsa’s makeup look, Tammer has also shared her tips with us for applying highlighter to the eyes:

“I either apply a light wash of the product across the lid with an eyeshadow brush (my favourites are Rae Morris), using it like a cream eyeshadow...or use it as a base and layer powder shadow over the top, which will set it and give it longevity and more intensity.”
