Italian Beauty Brand Espressoh has officially launched in Sephora

Snag their viral colour-changing blush before it sells out

BEAUTYcrew Beauty Editor / January 28 2022

While 2021 may have been inundated with an influx of celebrity-led beauty brands, 2022 is about returning to simple makeup that’s easy to apply and understand.

We’re dialing down the coverage with lightweight base options like the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation, while beauty TikTokers are feening for makeup picks that could pass for skin care (Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer we’re looking at you).

And now Italian-born, female-founded beauty brand Espressoh has landed downunder, bringing with it a wardrobe of products that amplify your natural beauty with little to no effort at all.

Where to cop it

Espressoh is available exclusively online at Sephora Australia. The Italian brand launched their full product range in January, which includes everything from a colour-changing blush (a must-have) to a reliable brow mascara (a lazy-girl’s best friend), and a sheer skin tint on the way (we’re keeping our eyes firmly peeled for this release).

What to add to cart

The Espressoh Glassy Blush By The Glass ($40 at Sephora) takes the cake as our top pick. It has a cult online following thanks to its magical ability to blend into the perfect ‘you-hued’ blush colour on application.

The Espressoh Hey Brow Clear Eyebrow Fixing Gel ($38 at Sephora) is our runner-up with a brow hair-fixing formula that’s infused with golden flax seed extract to deepen the natural pigment of your arches.

We’re also gunning to give the Espressoh The ABC Concealer ($40 at Sephora) a go. The lightweight complexion perfector has a reputation for hydrating, brightening and reviving dark circles thanks to the inclusion of (surprise, surprise) caffeine.

What does Espressoh look like IRL?

Considering the range is an online exclusive we think having a visual reference in lieu of a ‘try before you buy’ option is a necessity.

Because we don’t know about you, but we love to see a product in action before we spend our hard-earned dollary doos on it.

Lucky for us, the folks over at TikTok have been playing with the brand’s top-rated products and the results are pretty bloody exciting if we do say so ourselves…

The expert review

When I heard there was a colour-changing blush hitting the shelves of Sephora, I’m going to be honest, I did shriek a little bit from pure excitement.

And after seeing a host of beauty TikTokers sweep the clear gel formula over their cheeks to reveal a flattering pop of vibrant (but natural-looking) colour, my interest was officially piqued.

The application

When I initially screwed the pink top off of my mini jar of blush I was shocked.

I knew the formula was clear but I had no idea it was going to look like a literal pot of lip gloss. The consistency was thin and had a decent amount of slip, which reassured me that it would glide on and blend in like a dream (and it did).

The finish

If glassy, glossy skin is your goal then let me assure you there is no better option in terms of blush than this formula.

It doesn’t sit on top of the skin but melts in like a water-gel moisturiser, while retaining that silky wet-look finish. Stunning.

The final verdict

All in all, using this blush was a delight.

From the magical clear-to-colour transition upon blending to the glass-skin finish, the Espressoh Glassy Blush By The Glass is the blush I’d always wanted but had not yet experienced.

Now that I have, I'm not sure I can go back to basic old powder formulations.

The wear test

Nothing says simple, low-maintenance makeup like a cream eye shadow. These are the best cream eyeshadows Australia has to offer.
