Fenty Beauty is dropping a perfume that smells like Rihanna

And it’s finally launching downunder

If you’ve been feening to know what bad gals smell like, then guess what kiddo, it’s your lucky day because Fenty Beauty just announced they’re dropping a perfume that smells like Rihanna.

Every celebrity and their mother thinks the singer smells like heaven. She’s notoriously worn Love by Killian Don’t Be Shy ($350 at David Jones) for years – heck, it’s so good, the fiends of the Internet even found a $180 Chemist Warehouse dupe that’s just as good.

Ironically, during a recent interview with Vogue, the singer revealed her own mother played a huge part in her love of fragrance.

“My mum actually worked in the beauty and fragrance industry, so she’d always get a lot of samples and introduce me to the scents when she came home,” the star explained.

And the singer has taken her foray into the world of luxury fragrance seriously, employing the nose of French perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud to create Fenty Beauty’s first scent.

“I didn’t just tell them, ‘Make a fragrance that’s floral or spicy or makes me feel like I’m on the beach,’” the singer said to the magazine.

So just what can we expect from the Fenty Parfum?

Well, Fenty Beauty first teased the exciting fragrance launch via their Instagram with an artsy video that played on the amber bottle’s shadow. The caption read:

“Something sensual, confident yet sexxy ✨coming your way very soon...😉”

We’ve also been treated to brief but beautiful descriptions of the impending release that have left us drooling:

“Raw, sensual, spicy, and sweet all at once.”
“A scent that envelops you.”

And then, Fenty Beauty finally dropped a full body shot of the perfume bottle laying on a bed of stone and bathed in an aura of warm light. Ooft.

We even have a fragrance profile thanks to breadcrumbs on the brands IG (think: “sensual magnolia, vibrant fruit, and warm spice notes”) and Rihanna’s Vogue interview; try to imagine what “magnolia, musk, tangerine, blueberry, Bulgarian rose, and patchouli” smells like.

Well, we’re imagining it to smell very good, especially when Fenty Beauty is telling us we’re going to want to “bathe in it”. Hold us back.

So when can we get our hands on Fenty’s Rihanna-scented brew?

Well, here’s the 411 so far…

The brand dropped some stunning shots of RiRi on their IG and a simple caption, “#FENTYPARFUM COMING SOON👀” on the 26th of July for US customers.

The next day, Fenty Beauty finally gave us an explanation for all the social media brouhaha with an IG post of the parfum’s packaging enveloped in a dramatic cloud of smoke:

“An intimate unisex fragrance that is everything you feel, everything you are, and everything you want to be. 🖤 Get #FENTYPARFUM when it drops on August 10 at fentybeauty.com.”

But what about the Fenty Beauty-obsessives in Australia?

Well, it turns out we have more to look forward to than turkey at Christmas this year because RiRi’s dropping Fenty Parfum on December 6th.

You can cop a bottle of the stuff for AU $225 exclusively at FentyBeauty.com.

You’d better be quick though as the initial launch promises limited quantities...

That ain’t the only exciting thing happening over at Rihanna’s office ATM. Fenty Beauty just launched a new virtual shade finder tool.
