It’s never been easier to find your best foundation match

Let’s be frank – trying to find the right foundation is just not a good time. While we’re all for options (and boy, are there options), TBH it’s super overwhelming.

More often than not, you’ll end up with a foundation that a) offers way too much coverage, b) provides way too little coverage, or c) is completely wrong for your skin type. 

And since it’s something you’re going to be wearing every day (and foundations can cost a pretty penny), you’re going to want to make the right choice. So, what’s a girl to do?

Thanks to the golden nugget that is the Internet, online stores are now making it a total cinch to find your Holy Grail foundation.

Mecca just launched a Foundation Match tool on their website where you can take a four-step quiz to find your ideal match. You don’t even have to leave your house. Heck. Yes.

What type of magic is this? Well, it’s actually super simple. The Mecca Foundation Match requires you to answer a short set of questions to narrow down what type of foundation formula would be most suitable for your skin and your wish list. 

It takes like two seconds, and it evaluates what type of coverage you need, what kind of finish you would like, the kind of formula you prefer, as well as your skin type. It then provides a whole heap of different just-right-for-you foundations from Mecca’s massive range of beauty brands.

Once you find THE foundation formula, you’ll need to pick the perfect shade, right? This is usually the trickiest part of the whole shebang, however both Mecca and Sephora now offer nifty little shade-finding tools on their product pages to ensure you get a perfect match, every time.

Basically you select the brand, product and shade of another foundation you’ve used before, and Mecca or Sephora will tell you the closest shade in your new foundation’s colour range.

You then simply add it to your basket and wait eagerly by the mailbox/just physically walk into the store and purchase it.
