There is now a setting spray for perfume

Smell your best for even longer

We all know the difference that a good makeup setting spray can make – extending the life of your perfectly applied contour and winged liner for hours longer than it may have otherwise lasted. The most recent beauty development we have come across uses a similar concept. Behold, a setting spray for your favourite fragrance!

The product is called Fragrance Lock and is currently the only of its kind. It was created by a mother and daughter duo who worked closely with chemists who specialise in skin care and a fragrance house, taking inspiration from the way deodorant works to trap scent to keep you smelling and feeling fresh all day.

The lasting strength of your favourite perfume on your skin is about four hours on average; Fragrance Lock helps to extend the life of your fragrance to at least eight hours. You simply spray the fragrance-free formula over the top of where you applied your perfume. Fragrance Lock creates a layer between your skin and the air, which works as a breathable mesh, trapping it against the skin and slowing down the natural evaporation rate.

According to cosmetic chemist Ni’Kita Wilson, “the film anchors fragrance molecules to the skin without disturbing the perfume’s chemistry.” Genius!

Fragrance Lock

Given that this is a brand new breakthrough, this product has not yet reached Aussie shores. It is currently only available in the US, through Fragrance Lock’s official website. But rest assured we will be keeping a close eye on it to find out when it is set to be available here, so stay tuned.
