Hailey Bieber's secret to smoothing flyaways

It’s a bit niche.

In our spare time, you’ll often find us memorising Hailey Bieber’s beauty routine as if our lives depended on it.

From buying every product in her skin care routine to hunting down the exact claw clips she uses – we want it all.

Not because we’re crazy stalkers or anything, but because when it comes to beauty, Bieber just does it right.

The model has skin so flawless that it can star in no filter selfies and look airbrushed regardless.

And as for her signature slicked back bun? We’re lowkey obsessed.

Thankfully, it turns out we’re not the only ones with Bieber fever.

TikToker Arielle Lore recently had the opportunity to get the inside scoop from Bieber’s hair stylist on the key to perfecting the iconic hairstyle and getting that oh-so-smooth finish, and the answer was an interesting one.

“When I went to the Emmys this year I had Kendall and Hailey’s hairstylist Irinel [de León] do my hair,” Lore said in the video.  “She taught me about Tancho, which is what they use to slick back their hair.”

The lighthold, wax pomade stick is notorious for smelling like lavender, which she equates to “a car freshener.”

Tancho Tique Hair Styling Natural Wax Stick ($20.86 at Amazon Australia) is a relatively niche hair product as it turns out, so while you may be able to hunt down a couple units in the far reaches of an eBay outlet, the postage on the stuff is astronomical.

And according to Lore, the Japanese export is completely sold out on Amazon in the US.

The solution? Lore recommends hunting down Tigi Bed Head Hair Wax Stick ($26.99 at Amazon Australia) for a similar effect; “it works just as well and it doesn’t smell.”

We’re a little bit obsessed with finding out which products celebrities love using. These are the four hair care products in Zendaya’s curl routine
