Khloe-Kardashian-Weave

The reason may just surprise you

Saying the Kardashian-Jenner sisters wear weaves is the equivalent to saying water is wet. We need only look at the multiple hairstyles Kylie Jenner has experimented with over the past year or so to see exactly that. However, regardless of the A-list sisters penchant for mixing up their ‘dos, we were incredibly surprised to find out Khloe Kardashian has been wearing a sew-in weave for a grand total of 15 years.

Now for those not overly versed in what weaves are, they’re similar to extensions as they are individual pieces of hair that can be woven, glued or stitched into someone’s natural hair to make their tresses appear longer or more voluminous.

And in a recent post to her app, Khloe With A K, the reality star shared that she made the choice to use weaves as a teen because she lost the majority of her hair after her dad died. As a result, she sought the assistance of celebrity hairstylist, Maisha Oliver who “made me these great weaves to conserve the hair I still had and help it get healthy again,” Khloe explained.

While we’re sure Khloe’s hair has come a long way since her teenage years, she says she still chooses to wear a weave to keep her natural long hair protected underneath it all.

We’re all for hair experimentation and love it when celebrities choose to mix up their signature look. Here are some of the best wig hairstyles we’ve seen A-listers rock.
