The MTV Video Music Awards may have only taken place last night but celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic has already revealed to E! News the exact steps and products he used to recreate Kim Kardashian’s radiant makeup look.

When discussing the inspiration behind the look, Dedivanovic said, “I was playing off a Mediterranean inspiration. I wanted Kim to look like a Greek goddess with dewy, clean makeup.”

To find out exactly how to cop Kim’s makeup, follow these five steps:

Hint: you’re going to need your highlighter at the ready.

1

Light from within

To start, Dedivanovic applied Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation in Maple to create a luminous and glowing base on Kim’s skin before lightly dusting setting powder over her T-zone.

2

Contour away

A Kim Kardashian makeup tutorial wouldn’t be complete without a touch of contouring so Dedivanovic sculpted the reality star’s hairline, nose and cheekbones to leave her face softly defined and sun-kissed. Dedivanovic opted for Laura Mercier Matter Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze 03 but we’d also recommend giving the Nude by Nature The Contour Palette a go.

3

Add a pop pf colour

To add a summery flush to Kim’s look, Dedivanovic lightly dusted a soft peach blush over the apples of her cheeks, making sure to use a light hand so as to not distract from her bronzed complexion. Bourjois Blush in Ambre D’or is a great choice for a subtle pop of colour.

4

Brighten the complexion

To highlight the inner corners of Kim’s eyes, Cupid’s bow and brow bone, Dedivanovic applied Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in Addiction before applying the Devotion shade of the same powder across her cheekbones for additional glow.

5

Finish with a spritz

To finish, Dedivanovic spritzed a light mist of Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist over Kim’s skin to give her complexion a light gleam. You can’t get Tatcha products in Australia, so we recommend trying Caudalie Beauty Elixir in its place. It sets your makeup whilst providing your skin with a burst of radiance.
