Summer days call for beautiful bronzed skin. Save yourself from the sun damage and fake your way to sun-kissed perfection. Wander Beauty co-founder Lindsay Ellingson shares three faux-glow secrets.

1

Strategically sculpt

Bronzers can help define and sculpt the face. “Apply to the temples and sides of the nose to slim, dot and blend into the apples of the cheeks for a sun-kissed look and follow your cheek and jaw contour to lift and sculpt your face,” says Ellingson. Start with a light application and build up pigment. Ellingson recommends feeling for your cheekbones with your fingertips and applying the bronzer just underneath. Try Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer.

Glisten where it counts

Next use an illuminator to highlight and add dimension to your face. “Blend along the brow bone,
down the bridge of the nose and swipe and dab along the cheekbones, then blend,” says Ellingson. For an added pop, apply illuminator to the inner corners of your eyes, as a light wash over eyelids, or dabbed onto the brow bone to wake up tired eyes. We like Chantecaille Poudre Lumière.

Finish with a rosy flush

Another model secret to a glowing complexion is to apply blush. “Once you’ve bronzed and highlighted, you need to add a little colour and depth back to your face. Apply to the apples of the cheeks for an instant feminine flush of colour.” Try Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator.
