Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin just announced the arrival of her son

In the good news we all need today, celebrity hairstylist and OUAI founder Jen Atkin has shared that she and husband Mike Rosenthal have become parents to a baby boy.

Born on the 3rd of March 2021, their son River Julién Rosenthal arrived via surrogate, and the family of three have been enjoying their “quiet, peaceful love bubble at home” since.

“We are so in love with this little man,” Atkin’s Instagram caption read. “We love you guys and are editing our Surrogate Journey video in btwn feedings. Stay tuned.”

The post was shared alongside a series of photos, showing Atkin holding her new baby as well as her husband sleeping alongside him and their dog. 

Despite being responsible for some of the best hair looks ever seen on reality TV royalty (AKA the Kardashian and Jenner clan), Atkin has previously remained quite private on the topic of her family life, with the exception of a pregnancy chat video which was posted on her Youtube channel in 2019.

The hairstylist is also close friends with beauty YouTuber Desi Perkins, who gave birth in 2020 after years of fertility treatment and documented the process for her fans. 

Perkins commented on Atkin’s post: “I’m so happy the news is out! I’m so happy for you and mike and he is also just the cutest! Ocean and River will be great friends”

In lieu of gifts for their newborn son, Atkin has asked for donations instead to be made to Baby2Baby, an organisation that provides children living in poverty “with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.”

The hairstylist explained that her parents have been waiting so long for this day, they’ve already bought everything the family needs. Naaaw! Congratulations.
