Katy Perry just bleached her brows

And immediately re-dyed them

The bleached eyebrows trend may have taken off in 2020, with stars like Hailey Bieber and Victoria Pedretti modelling the fair-browed look on the ‘gram with great success, but popstar Katy Perry just revived the white-blonde look for a recent Disney-themed episode of American Idol (Perry is one-third of the American Idol judging panel alongside fellow musicians Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan in case you didn’t know).

Disney Channel star Sofia Carson performed the absolute banger that is ‘A Whole New World’ from the Disney classic Aladdin, but our eyes were firmly focused on Perry and her Tinkerbell costume rather than the stage – completely mesmerised by her set of freshly bleached brows.

Lucky for us, the popstar decided to document the momentary brow transformation on her Instagram, paired with the hilarious quip of a caption: “going to go dye my brows back now”.

Perry treated us to an up-close and personal shot of the bleaching process, which also featured her makeup artist applying an adorable set of prosthetic latex pointed-tip faerie ears (honestly, this woman is living our childhood dreams).

In the behind-the-scenes pic, Perry’s brows appear to have been generously coated in bleach, with a layer of cling-film over the top to help with processing and lifting the natural colour of the singer’s eyebrows.

The uber-quick brow fix can be achieved in less than 10 minutes, and a toner is usually applied following the treatment to cancel out any unwanted brassy tones. The great thing about this trend is that you can easily revert back to your natural hue using a brow tint, if you’re anything like Perry and just want to give the trend a try to complete your OOTD.

Wondering why the popstar's skin's been looking extra glowy lately? Katy Perry just credited Miranda Kerr with 'changing her skin'.
