In some happy act of kismet, two of our true loves – TikTok hacks and cult-status beauty products – have amalgamated in the form of a mint green tube that has hit cult status on the social media platform thanks to it’s chameleon effects on the complexion.
The product in question?
Well, it’s none other than L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier Anti-Redness BB Cream ($18.67 at iHerb) – a colour-correcting BB cream that utilises pigment beads to neutralise redness and hydrate skin.
The lightweight lotion formula initially caught the eye of TikToker Rose Siard AKA @roseandben, and once she tried the complexion-perfecting pick, she had to share it with her followers.
Siard dropped a TikTok trying out the green-hued BB cream on bare skin before she finished up with her everyday makeup and went about her day as per usual.
As you can see in the video, the BB cream makes quick work of unifying Siard’s complexion and minimising the appearance of any redness, but it’s the impressive staying power of the moisturiser-inspired base product that’s left us seriously impressed.
Though the TikToker is quick to point out the BB cream does in fact dry down after application, (“it feels like nothing on my skin”), considering she applied the product with her hands and didn’t even powder her face, the fact that by the end of the clip her full-face of makeup is still intact after seven hours is mind-blowing. Heck, the woman has no weird dry patches or product settling into her fine lines, pores or anything.
Is this witchcraft? Who knows for sure? All we know is our interest has officially been piqued. And we’re not the only ones...
TikTok can’t get enough of the metamorphic base corrector, either
Siard isn’t the only one who’s dabbled with the budget pick; Tiktokers have taken up their torch as beauty hack guinea pigs yet again and put the BB cream to the test again and again.
And the general consensus? It’s a solid thumbs up from the kids on TikTok.
