The drugstore concealer that’s giving the cult favourites a run for their money

Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about this full-coverage concealer

The product

For those of us who just don’t have time to fuss with a full face of makeup every single day, a heavy-duty, multitasking kind of concealer is a real lifesaver.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer is a full-coverage yet lightweight concealer that can conceal imperfections, dark circles, uneven skin tone and blemishes without settling into fine lines or looking cakey.

Plus, with a natural matte finish and soft, jumbo doe-foot applicator, this little guy’s a one-and-done type of product that you won’t have to worry about touching up throughout the day.

Our panel of Review Crew® members put this product to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent L’Oréal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer to a panel of our trusted Review Crew® members aged between 18 and 35 years old who were after a full-coverage concealer that would cover, conceal and correct blemishes, redness, dark circles and imperfections without looking cakey or dry throughout the day.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about L’Oréal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer.

It’s a dupe for Tarte’s Shape Tape: A number of reviewers mentioned that the concealer reminded them of Tarte’s cult-favourite Shape Tape concealer, with some even saying they preferred the L’Oréal formula (not to mention the lower price point).

How easy application was: Members loved the large doe-foot applicator, which they found helped them to limit the amount of product they used. Plus, reviewers loved the creamy, lightweight texture of the concealer because it was easy to blend.

How it looked and wore throughout the day: Review Crew® members were fans of the concealer’s natural matte finish, which set perfectly without the need for a powder. They also found the formula didn’t crease, cake or dry out after long hours of wear.

The verdict

“This product is a great drugstore equivalent to I’d say Shape Tape. It’s a very full coverage concealer but not heavy or cakey. It hid dark circles/bags under the eyes and blemishes. I’d apply this product in the morning and by night it hadn’t moved, I hadn’t even set the product with any powder.”

“It hides my mum zombie undereye bags pretty well, it hides my acne scars and also skin discolouration. It pretty much lasted all day on my skin and didn't crack or crease under my eyes, which is where it usually happens. This had a skin-like matte finish, which made it perfect for my 'natural' look.”

“If you’re looking for a concealer with full coverage and great value, this one ticks the boxes. It can also be used as a highlighter (if you go a shade or two lighter) and for contouring (a shade or two darker). I went for a lighter shade and used it as a concealer and highlighter.”
