L'Oreal Australia is joining the 2020 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras as a major partner. The partnership is part of the brand's global mission "beauty for all" and advocacy for diversion, inclusion, equity and social justice.

The Managing Director of L'Oreal Australia, Rodrigo Pizarro, said "The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is an iconic celebration of diversity and equality in Australia and we are delighted to announce that we will be a Major Partner of the 2020 event."

CEO of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Grant Lowe, said “We're so happy to have leading beauty brand L'Oréal Australia with us for the 2020 festival - their commitment to diversity and inclusion for staff is exemplary.

"Sydney Mardi Gras vision for a diverse and inclusive festival is represented through everything that we do, including our partnerships, and L’Oréal’s alignment will bring further visibility to LGBTQI communities.”

The theme for the 2020 festival is "what matters" and is scheduled to run from Friday 14 February to Sunday 1 March. British singer Dua Lipa will be performing during Mardi Gras following the famous parade down Oxford Street.

L'Oreal are also encouraging their employees and consumers to express themselves and have pride, "regardless of who they are, where they come from, what they believe in or who they love."
