Lucy Hale wore a $9 lipstick to the 2019 Teen Choice Awards

And we are in love

Lucy Hale was centre stage at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards – The Pretty Little Liars actress co-hosted the star-studded event with YouTuber David Dobrik – and all we could look at was that pout.

Expertly painted by celebrity makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan, Lucy looked stunning on the Teen Choice Awards carpet with a bold red lip that was to die for. The best part though – as revealed by Deenihan via an Instagram post she shared of Lucy getting ready for the event – is that the lipstick is from drugstore brand e.l.f. Cosmetics.

Upon further investigation, it appears Lucy is wearing their Moisturizing Lipstick in the aptly named shade Red Carpet, which retails for just $9.

The lipstick has a velvet-satin finish and is an Allure Reader’s Choice Makeup Award Winner. It also boasts a nourishing formula enriched with shea and vitamins A, C and E.

This lipstick isn’t the only interesting thing about Lucy’s beauty look. She shared the expert beauty-blending abilities of co-host David Dobrik pre-show, who appears to be moonlighting as a makeup artist. We can only assume (and hope) Kelsey Deenihan was close by to assist.

Lucy loves a budget beauty buy. These are the drugstore face wipes she always keeps in her gym bag.
