6 luxurious lipsticks we can’t get enough of
They look *and* feel superior

When it comes to variety, you really can't beat the lip department. New products like liquid lipsticks, lip glosses and tinted lip stains are hitting shelves on a weekly basis, leaving us spoilt for choice. While all of them have proven their worth (a liquid lip colour sure makes an impact with a single swipe!), this month, we're reaching for these new lipsticks that not only feel luxe once applied, but they look seriously impressive, too. We're talking lids that just magically click into place, formulas that feel next-level creamy and nourishing, and packaging that is *so* pretty, you won't want to hide them in your handbag.
Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Ruby Cream in Kiss Me Ruby
Besides being in awe of the gem-like lipstick bullet of Lancôme's L'Absolu Rouge Ruby Cream (how do they even make it like that?!) and the incredibly pigmented formula, we're hooked on the eye-catching and innovative packaging. Press the Lancôme 'button' on one side of the lipstick to release the bullet, use the lipstick as you wish (the faceted bullet allows you to easily work around trickier areas like the corners of your mouth and the Cupid's bow), and press it back into the case to close the lipstick. Clever.
Guerlain Rouge G Matte Lipstick in No. 24
If you're looking for a red lipstick that packs a serious punch, you can't go past Guerlain's Matte Lipstick in No. 24. The colour itself is bold (it'll turn heads when you wear it!) and - you guessed it - matte, without feeling heavy on lips. Top tip: Layer on a nourishing lip balm a few minutes before applying this lipstick to prevent the colour from settling into dry, cracked skin. Oh, and don't forget to pick up a lid to match or mix things up (like we have here!).
Gucci Baume à Lèvres in No More Orchids
There's no doubt that Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele has breathed new life into the Italian brand, right down to the beauty arm. One of our favourite products from Gucci is the Baume à Lèvres, which feels really airy and lightweight, just like a lip balm would. It’s also lightly tinted and offers just a whisper of colour, making it a top choice for those who want a low-maintenance lippie to swipe on a daily basis.
CHANEL Exclusive Creation Rouge Allure in Rouge Noble
We wait with bated breath every year to check out CHANEL's coveted Christmas collection, and this year is no different. The Rouge Allure Lipstick in Rouge Noble is a versatile dark red shade that makes you stand out for all the right reasons. The key to pulling off a darker lip colour? Using an invisible lip liner prior to swiping the lipstick on to prevent the colour from feathering, and cleaning up the edges with a creamy yet long-wearing concealer.
Yves Saint Laurent Beauté x Zoe Kravitz Rouge Pur Couture in Honey’s Nude
Like moths to a flame, we're absolutely obsessed with anything glittery, which is why Zoe Kravitz's collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent Beauté has us hooked. The lid is coated with ultra-fine particles of silver shimmer, whilst the lipstick itself has a gorgeously velvet finish. Honey's Nude is THE ultimate nude lipstick colour (not to mention, our favourite shade from the range); it’s a slightly rosy shade that perfectly complements medium to dark skin tones.
Charlotte TIlbury Hot Lips 2 in In Love With Olivia
Those with fair to medium skin, listen up - this is the lipstick to wear this season. In Love With Olivia is a light pink shade that is your ticket to looking ‘done’ without going OTT, plus the formula is enriched with lipstick tree extract (yes, it is a real tree!) to soften your smackers.
