“I don’t think I’m ever going to be my idea of pretty”

In a crushing video confession, Married At First Sights  Vanessa Romito has opened up on her self-confidence issues and struggles with severe acne. Heartbreakingly, she describes her skin as “disfigured” revealing “I don’t think I’m ever going to be my idea of pretty.”

“I guess a lot of girls have perfect skin but I have disfiguring acne,” she continues, sharing she’s struggled with skin issues since she was a kid.

“When I was younger, I couldn’t handle going to school because people would call me a creature. I used to get pimples so big that they used to cover my eye or come out the side of my chin. It damaged my confidence a lot. I don’t think anyone would truly be satisfied with this.”

Because of her skin issues, Vanessa discloses she also doesn’t feel comfortable going out on daytime dates.

“Modern dating is very superficial. People pick out your imperfections and I’ve got a lot of them. I’m probably most attractive at night when the lighting is dim. That’s me at my best,” says Vanessa.

We’re so impressed by Vanessa’s bravery in speaking out on her battles with acne and self-confidence and we applaud her honesty. But, we’d also like to point out that contrary to what she might think, Vanessa is a total stunner with her gorgeous smile and long brunette locks. Besides, it’s what’s on the inside that counts most of all.
