How-to:

#1 / Start by moisturising your lips
with a clear balm. “I let it sit on the
lips while I do the eye makeup and then wipe it off before applying lip colour,” says Dempsey.


#2 / Next, apply a lip stain. “That way,
if your bold lip colour fades, you still have a natural looking hint of colour.”


#3 / For precise application, use a fine lip brush to apply your lipstick. “With bold colours, it’s wise to follow your natural lip shape rather than extending the colour beyond your actual lip.”


#4 / “Intense colours can be more high maintenance – so travel with your lip colour and be ready to reapply!”

#1 / Apply a lightweight water-based foundation where needed – “on the forehead, the sides of the nose, the chin and possibly on the jawline and neck, too,” recommends Sir John.

#2 / Dab a cream highlighter on the high points of the cheekbones – but just on the sides.

#3 / Using a taupe coloured blush, start at the inner ear and brush outwards in gentle circular motions to sculpt and define the cheeks.

How-to:

#1/ “Apply foundation using a sponge, blush brush [foundation brushes can be too dense] and your fingertips,” suggests Phillips.

#2 / Use a yellow-toned concealer to cancel out any redness.


#3 / Lightly contour the face using a darker foundation at the temples, around the hairline and cheekbones. Blend away any obvious lines.

#4 / Dust bronzer on your temples and top of your cheekbones, and a light application of peach blush on the apples of your cheeks.

#5 / Mist with setting spray to keep your complexion fresh.

How-to:

#1 / Smooth a bronze cream eyeshadow over your entire lid. Using the same colour, sweep it beneath the eyes.


#2 / Apply a gold cream eyeshadow over the top of the bronze.

#3 / To diffuse the edges, “take a clean rounded brush and dip it in a little foundation and go along the edges of the eyeshadow”, says Nelson.

#4 / Define brows by applying powder with an angled brush. “I focus the definition on the outer edge by using a lighter shade at the start of the brow and a darker shade towards the tail.”

#1 / Choose your colour and apply a waterproof gel liner all over your lid.


#2 / Use a small amount of colour around your tear duct area, stopping just before your lash line begins. For extra impact, layer a shimmery eyeshadow in the same colour over the top.

#3 / Then use “a water-based makeup remover and a clean cotton bud to create a graphic shape by removing the excess shadow underneath the brow bone”,
says Sir John. Finish with mascara.

How-to:

#1 / Using a black gel liner and tapered eyeliner brush, start by outlining the shape of the eye, working from the inner to outer corner.


#2 / Work the product right into the root of the lashes and gradually build up thickness on the outer three-quarters (don’t wing just yet).

#3 / Paint over the gel with a waterproof liquid liner that has a precision tip. “It’s key to achieving intensity,” says Ashton.


#4 / To create the wing, flick the liquid liner out towards your temple. Finish with false lashes and mascara.
