Emmys makeup trend to try: metallic eyes

Award shows never fail to deliver beauty inspiration, and inevitably a trend or two always catches our attention, too. The Emmys were no exception: say goodbye to your dark smoky eye makeup, and hello to glistening metallic eyes.

The range of shades and pigmentation intensity spotted on the Emmys red carpet proved that there is a shimmer for everyone this season. Here are the celebrity makeup looks that made us fall in love with the metallic eye trend instantly:

Sophie Turner

The Game of Thrones actress opted for a rose gold shimmer, which highlighted her blue eyes and added a splash of colour to her otherwise neutral makeup.

Olivia Culpo

The model and actress showed us how to amp up the metallic look by pairing it with a dramatic coloured liner along her lower lash line. Olivia opted for a silver shadow over her lid to balance the bold purple.

Kristen Bell

The Bad Mom’s actress showed us that it pays to be subtle, opting for a gorgeous bronze shadow. The nude-inspired tone helped draw attention to her fluttery eyelashes.

Sarah Hyland

The Modern Family actress upped the glam factor on her makeup look by adding a highly pigmented gold to her lid. This colour complemented Sarah’s bronzed glow, leaving her beaming with radiance.
