If you’re looking to shake things up in the makeup department, your search ends here. We’ve found our favourite eye makeup trend for the season.

We first saw the colourful eyeshadow trend on the red carpet of the Billboard Music Awards, and it seems the feminine (but not necessarily girly) style isn’t going anywhere.

While purple, eggplant and lilac shades dominated the Billboard Music Awards, last night’s Tony Awards saw actress Soairse Ronan, and models Joan Smalls and Jourdan Dunn creatively and uniquely incorporating pink tones into their makeup looks.

Joan Small’s inspiring sultry eye is one to copy this winter. With a catching blend of reds and earthy purples, the supermodel really took the the sultry eye look up a notch. Patrick Ta was the makeup artist responsible for the creative eye work, and our guess, he’d credit a good quality blending brush when achieving this look.

Brooklyn star Saoirse Ronan stunned at this year’s awards night, making her piercing blue eyes the standout thanks to the clever use of pink eye shadow. Her makeup artist Talia Sprarrow applied Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Seashell with the Pink Opal shade, explaining, “Saoirse can wear colours that not many people can get away with”. She completed the actress’ look with a luminous base and a deeper pink lip to match.

Maybelline New York ambassador Jourdan Dunn co-ordinated her pearly-pink eye makeup with her Zac Posen dress, putting to sleep any doubts of the matchy-matchy trend. Makeup artist Renee Garnes explained she used Maybelline New York's The Blushed Nudes Palette to achieve Jourdan’s blush-pink lids. Garnes began with a shimmery pink shadow as the base, and then applied a nude tone to the crease.
