Radiant, gleaming skin is something all women strive for. And while strategically blending illuminators and concealers sounds strenuous, you don’t need a plethora of products to achieve a post-pilates flush.

Here, we reveal how to create an iridescent, incandescent complexion in seconds.

1

Prep and prime

New generation primers feature antioxidants that treat fine lines, plus ingredients to boost collagen production. They also give skin a Gwyneth Paltrow-like glow that wipes away the years. Apply primer to your entire face, and wait a few seconds before moving onto the next step.

2

Apply CC cream

Next, work a small amount of sheer CC cream or concealer into your skin. This will help counter any redness and hide broken capillaries (a common sign of ageing) without forming a mask-like finish.

3

Follow with foundation

When it comes to foundation, the old less-is-more maxim holds true so make sure your use is targeted. Most women only need to apply it to their forehead, nose and chin. “Foundation should even skin out, not hide it,” says make-up artist Elsa Morgan, who recommends using a liquid formulation or a product with light reflecting pigments to give skin a gorgeous sheen. Always apply your foundation with a brush to ensure it sinks in without leaving any tell-tale streaks.

Illuminate your skin

Finish off by gently dabbing a liquid highlighter on the high-points of your face: your forehead, cheekbones and the bridge of your nose. The illuminating particles will help reflect light, leaving your skin looking radiant and luminous.
