Fact: We’re utterly obsessed with Meghan Markle’s hair. While her makeup routine doesn’t tend to stray far from her signature pared-back makeup look (a combination of flawless skin, flushed cheeks and a nude lip are her go-tos), we’ve been keeping a pretty close eye on her hair game while she’s here in Australia – and she hasn’t been afraid to switch things up.
Whether it’s a loose low bun, subtle waves or a classic ponytail, it’s clear the Duchess is a fan of laidback, effortless hairstyles – and we’re all for it.
We check out all of Meghan’s stunning hair looks from her Australian tour (so far!).
Day 1 (again)
In the evening, she took a leaf out of Kate Middleton’s book, showing off natural-looking waves at Admiralty House. The full and voluminous style looks equal parts effortless and elegant – no wonder it’s on high rotation in the Royal family.
Meghan’s ponytail game just keeps getting stronger! On day four, the newlyweds went to Bondi Beach and Meghan opted for another casual yet effortlessly stunning hairstyle. She wore her long locks in a high ponytail, parted in the middle with the front sections of her hair styled in a soft, loose look. It’s pretty much the ultimate beach hair inspo.
Day 4 (again)
Meghan swapped her morning beach chic hair for a slightly more elegant look in the afternoon while visiting a school in Parramatta. She opted for a stylish, almost ‘90s-inspired, half-up half-down hairstyle, which was teased at the crown for a voluminous touch. Two tendrils were left hanging loose around her face, perfectly framing her features.
The Duchess travelled to Cockatoo Island for the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge, styling her brunette hair in those trademark waves. However, she switched her look up ever so slightly by parting her hair to the side for an extra oomph of volume.
Day 5 (again)
Keeping her locks in a similar soft style to her morning ‘do, Meghan attended the ANZAC Memorial with her hair swept over one shoulder and accessorised with a black headpiece.
Day 5 (and again)
In the evening, Meghan attended the opening ceremony of the 2018 Invictus Games wearing her signature messy low bun and face-framing loose tendrils. You know what they say, if it ain’t broke…
Meghan proved just how versatile her go-to style actually is, tying her hair in a casual bun and loose curls to meet the Prime Minister of Australia. She looks effortlessly chic and it’s all the inspo we need to skip the hours of styling and simply throw our hair up for our next big event.
Meghan stuck to a similar look the following day, keeping her hair out of her face while soaking up the sun on Fraser Island. Similar to her half-up half-down style from a few days earlier, the Duchess wore a slightly more voluminous version of her signature bun with her hair teased in a pouf at the crown. This version was also tied slightly higher than usual, might we add!
Presenting at the Australian Geographic Society Awards, Meghan wore her hair out in stunning, natural-looking waves. Her hair looked ultra thick and voluminous throughout the lengths (the work of some backcombing, perhaps?), adding to her elegant evening look.
Meghan showed off a brand new hairstyle at the Wheelchair Basketball final during the Invictus Games. The Duchess put a new twist on her classic bun by turning it into a half-up half-down style that was slicked back away from her face. We think it’s the perfect hairstyle for second-day hair!
