Milan Fashion Week has wrapped for another season leaving a trail of exquisite new season beauty inspo in its wake. And, over the past week, the runway has previewed some of the biggest hair trends set to take shape next season.

Here are three major hair trends spotted on the runway at Milan Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2020.

Short, side-swept fringes at Versace

Versace's show saw models Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber take to the runway in short, side-swept bangs with an edgy, almost androgenous-feel.

And, we've got good news for anyone wanting to experiment with the look without a permanent haircut commitment - these convincing fringes were created using razor-cut clip-in hairpieces by Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau. Clever!

Upside-down headbands at Fendi

Fendi flipped the padded headband trend upside down presenting this novel way to wear the classic hair accessory. With headbands crafted in an assortment of quilted fabric finishes positioned beneath elaborately braided upstyles, the look couldn't have been more elegant. File this one away for your next black-tie occasion.

Cloth-wrapped micro plaits at Max Mara

At Max Mara, mini braids were positioned sporadically throughout models' locks in this fun look. To finish, the tiny plaits were adorned with leftover fabric cuttings from the cotton shirts featured in the show.

The inspiration behind the look? "Channelling @boygeorgeofficial braids and rags," revealed hairstylist Sam McKnight in an Instagram post.
