Olive is the beauty colour of the season and here's how to wear it

With every new season comes a new beauty trend. And while hairstyles and brows tend to dominate, every so often a colour captures our attention.

Last year lilac was much-loved, elevating our springtime eye makeup looks with a sweep of soft and pastel purple.

But for autumn and winter 2020, it's all about olive.

The dark green differs from emerald with a slightly more yellow-ish, and even sometimes verging on brown, hue.

However, one should not be fooled about the dull opposed to bright shade, as it only makes it more universal to wear.

WAYS TO WEAR THE OLIVE BEAUTY TREND

The good news about this trend, is that it can be worked to suit every skin tone, hair colour and style.

Solo eyeshadow

For those who prefer softer, subtle coloured makeup, stick to a singular olive shade and blend well. A matte finish will help it to seem more effortless and 'everyday'.

Eyeliner

Olive eyeliner also makes an excellent substitute for a classic black, and those with brown or hazel eyes will have the added bonus of the green pigment making their eye colour even more striking.
