Clinique Beyond Perfecting™ Super Concealer Camouflage + 24-Hour Wear

I have lots of good things to say about this concealer. Firstly it has a wonderful texture in that it’s a bit more “liquid” then most concealers, it’s almost foundation like, maybe just a bit thicker. This fluidity, makes it the perfect blending texture. It really does blend seamlessly into foundation or bare skin. I like to put my concealer over the top of my foundation to cover any imperfections that still show through and this is how I mainly use this concealer. It was perfect for this and also for touch ups to my skin when I hadn’t used concealer in the morning.  Secondly I love the colour I got which is ‘moderately fair 12’ as it is a warm yellow tone, no need for banana coloured powders when you have this product to brighten up the under eye area. I found it covered redness and imperfections well too. Thirdly I loved the staying power of this concealer, it promises to stay put for 24 hours and even though I always wash it off before then, I find it lasts till I do. The only thing that I can’t comment on is if it covers dark circles well, as I don’t have too much darkness under my eyes, but I found that this concealer did the job brilliantly for me in disguising any discolourations that I did have, and it didn’t crinkle up or collect under my eyes. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a good all rounder concealer, that is easy to blend with your fingers.

Best product at this price point. I prefer patting it in with my fingers over a beauty blender. It melts into a skin for a gorgeous natural finish. You do definitely need to set this with a powder and/or use a setting spray so that it stays fresh-looking for longer and doesn't break up the texture after a few hours.

I decided to purchase this Clinique concealer instead of my beloved, and now discontinued Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer, knowing that these brands are from the same company. This Clinique concealer comes in a small squeezable tube, which does help keep the product hygienic. There is a really good choice of colours available to suit most skin tones. The formula is quite pigmented and does provide full coverage to really cover and reduce the look of any dark circles, and hide my acne scars. I do find the formula a little bit difficult to blend and it can settle into the lines under my eyes slightly. Being a Clinique product, it’s definitely fragrance free and non irritating to use all around the eye area without any issues. This concealer does last well throughout the whole day and doesn’t smudge. I use a cleansing oil or a more heavy duty eye makeup remover to remove it at the end of the day.  Overall it’s probably a good buy as you only need a tiny amount each time to provide full coverage. I think if you have heavy dark circles or scars then this is a good concealer for you. It instantly brightens and minimises the look of flaws, and I need to use less foundation when I apply this concealer. As this product is oil-free I would prefer a more hydrating and creamy texture, especially for my eye area. Therefore I’m not sure I will repurchase this product in the future. My tip is to blend this concealer quickly with a moist makeup sponge as it can dry and set as soon as you apply it!

The Super Perfecting Concealer has a creamy texture that sits on my foundation nicely. It is hydrating on my skin without causing creases or cracks especially under my eye areas. This concealer has a medium coverage on my skin and is buildable without looking cakey. Highly recommend to people with dry skin.
