COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle Defying Foundation

I was so eager to try this foundation as covergirl was the first brand I used as a teenager and I loved it then. The texture is creamy and is light to wear on the skin however I felt like it sunk into my pores and made it look blotchy and visable. It’s a no for my 38 yr old skin. I would also recommend to ALWAYS wear spf underneath.

A perfect pick me up foundation, its light but with enough cover to enhance and uplift the completion. Great selection of colours and blends fabulously into the skin. Perfect compact for traveling and with SPF factor always a bonus for protection.

I am a long time fan of this foundation. This is a creamy textured foundation that offers excellent coverage, but never feels caked on. The simple sponge applicator makes application very quick and easy and despite it being marketed to mature skins as an anti-aging foundation, I have found that this formula works very well with my oily, acne prone skin- leaving me with a dewy complexion that is never oily. I use the shade 220 Creamy Natural which is a yellow based tone suited for light to medium skin tones. Pros- Very compact and easy to use on the go with the sponge applicator included. - Leaves a dewy finish that doesn't feel greasy or oily even on oily, acne prone skin types. - SPF 28 for added protection. Cons- Quite a lot of product is used when applied with the sponge applicator- I found that I would only get a month of daily use before I I saw the bottom of the compact. Tips- With the use of a good primer as a base and finger tips for application rather than the sponge- I found that the foundation went a whole lot further and that the same desired results could be obtained.

I purchased COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle Defying Foundation out of desperation. I went to the coast for a holiday and left my foundation out of my makeup bag. Unfortunately I have mature skin and I need my face on (my foundation) to cover the imperfections. My shop choices were limited so I had to grab what ever was available in my shade. This screw top compact is wonderful and I was wrong to judge based on price. My skin isn’t overly dry but it does have age spots that I like to hide. I need a natural looking coverage that covers pigmentation but doesn’t look caked on, matches my skin tone and has a good SPF. Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle Defying Foundation ticks all of the boxes. I apply my face cream and wait a minute or so for it to absorb then apply the foundation. Blending the foundation with Olay serum in the compact is genius it not only looks great but more importantly is effective. It blends well and my skin is silky smooth and looks dewy. Pros:  Good pigmentation  Great colour match Excellent coverage Mess free Travel/ bag friendly Easy to apply Cons: None really so this is all I can think of. It doesn't have great staying power so I re apply but this is also a bonus because it contains an SPF (so more of a con).

LOVE this one, perfect for travel and a lovely finish.  I have shade 220 Creamy Natural and it is a must-have product for when I travel.  It's compact design is really useful, simply twist the top and you access the 12 grams of foundation, flip the bottom lid and you have access to the sponge applicator.  What I love most is the ease of application, dampen the little sponge (I do this when on-the-go) or use your own beauty blender and just pat onto skin.  It sets to a really soft, natural finish and has medium-high coverage, no need for powder with my normal-dry skin.   It has a broad spectrum SPF of 22 and it is a titanium dioxide sunscreen (the best!).  Such a useful product and the finish lasts with minimal touch-ups only for my nose area in really hot or humid weather only. Zero oxidization for me, it is a very stable formula.  If you find it is a little too dry a finish, just add a drop of facial oil and you will get a more glowing look - but I prefer the natural finish.  It is easy to reapply or touch up during the day and further applications do not cling to dry patches, accentuate pores or break down over time.
