COVERGIRL truBLEND Matte Made Foundation

This foundation was a rather thick texture with a medium coverage and dries down to matte foundation. Unfortunately this foundation didn't work well on my dry skin as it highlighted the creases under my eye areas and got flakey around my mouth area. when I tried to build up the coverage, the foundation looked a little bit cakey. Also, I couldn't find my shade so I had to pick a shade lighter than my skin tone and set the foundation with a coloured loose powder to match my skin tone.

Why make 40 shades and only release 6 to Australia?  Makes me so mad as we are a very ethically diverse country and need a shade range as good as they have in USA.  I ordered several shades from overseas (L10, L20, L90 and M60) as the shades here were a joke.  Such a pity more people can't experience this wonderful formula because it is fantastic.  It is a medium coverage and easily builds to full with 2 coats.  It is very thick in consistency when dispensed from the pump, but when you apply to the skin it feels light and weightless, almost watery.  It dries down to a demi-matte finish (it's a lovely) and you don't need powder to set (great for those of us with drier skin).  It stays a good 8 hours on the skin and doesn't transfer onto clothes or phone screen.  Really love this foundation but sadly it will soon disappear from shelves because although Covergirl like to advertise the fact they have 40 shades and are all-inclusive, sadly that doesn't apply to us here in Australia if we aren't prepared to shop online.

I love covergirl foundations and this trublend matte made foundation is amazing. I love the pump bottle which dispenses just the right amount of product with no mess. I blend it with a beauty blender sponge or quality makeup blending brush. I find i dont need a lot of product for a nice natural finish which i love so its great value for money at $20.00. This product gives a nice matte finish, no oil slick and i find it lasts really well all day without shine or that horrible cakey look. It feels really nice and light to wear and blends easily. I recommend a great primer underneath for a really professional looking finish. The foundation is packaged nicely and comes in 6 great shades, i find its a great foundation for those with an oily tzone like me as it absorbs oil well, disguises my fine lines and imperfections and reduces the appearance of pores, whats not to love, i highly recommend this product.

I’ve worn this CoverGirl truBLEND Matte foundation on a few occasions to work and noticed that my skin wasn’t as oily as it usually is with other foundation products. The coverage is medium and has a light weight feel. I’m not one for heavy makeup and found this was perfect for me as it gives a natural matte finish. Only downfall was the shade, I could do with a slightly darker colour.

The COVERGIRL truBLEND Matte Made Foundation is Fantastic!!! It's an incredibly light and full coverage foundation with a silky matte finish.  The packaging of the COVERGIRL truBLEND Matte Made Foundation is sleek, clean and easy to use, with a pump nozzle for easy application to your sponge or brush.  The colour is true to it's description and appearance in the bottle, and I found it blended flawlessly once on the skin. I applied this foundation with a number of applicators including, fingers, a beauty blender, and a foundation brush and it worked well with each of these. Application by hand was by far my favorite as it melted the foundation into my skin and didn't leave any streaky lines. I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone with dry skin, unless you're using a hydrating primer underneath! I also have sensitive skin and found this foundation didn't make me break out and it didn't budge once it was on. I would buy this foundation again, and I think it's perfect for anyone with Normal to Oily skin. 

When I use foundation, I usually use high-end brands but am always looking for a cheaper option. One of the big problems is getting a shade pale enough for my skin tone. This foundation unfortunately looks like the right shade but dries darker and oxidises within a few hours, giving me a clown face.  The foundation applies easily enough with a combination of a Foundation Brush and a Beauty Blender and is buildable to a medium level.  It has an odd scent, but it’s not too off putting and goes away after the foundation sets. I don’t think it sat well on my skin, as I had a breakout and oily skin after using the product.  I love Covergirl but this is not for me. 

The colour was not a good match for me at all unfortunately (too dark and almost a bit orange for my skin tone), so I was only able to test it a few times while I knew I was going to be at home for long periods of time.  I found that a little went a long way, and it seemed to hold very well.  I have very oily skin, so I still used a setting powder but I found that the finish was overall really, really nice.  It blended well, and I tried it once with a brush and then a few times with a beauty blender - both times it dispersed really well and wasn't patchy.  I think if I found my right shade, this would be a great everyday foundation for me.  The bottle was good, the pump worked straight away and the price point is very good as well.

I have combination oily skin and this foundation worked great for me. For a few days I used it without powder but did find that like this it wore off in certain areas throughout the day. With powder it stayed put for a full 10 hours. It was easy to apply and a little goes a long way.

I love the slim bottle. I used it after I moisturised and primed and found it to last all day. It didn’t go cakey or separated and set beautifully with a translucent powder over the top. I also found it the coverage was great and could easily be built up at a full coverage (but a little goes a long way). The shade was spot on too. Great product for the price!

I found the foundation to have great coverage, and the colour match on my skin tone was great! I did find though that the formula was a little thick for my liking, and tended to dry out a bit during the day but overall I think it is a great foundation - maybe best suited to those with less dry skin!

Packaging is great, bottle is slim, well-shaped and not overly heavy. Was a good colour match for my skin. The recommended retail price is VERY good. The formula is not drying to the skin which I find slot of other foundations can be. I applied this product after moisturiser and primer and found that it gave good coverage and lasted throughout the day when set with a powder on top. I haven’t liked foundations from this brand that I’ve tried in the past so I was  surprised at the quality of this one!

This Covergirl Trublend Matte Made Foundation is beautiful! It's a true matte finish , but not flat, the finish is stunning if you love your matte foundations. Coverage was a solid med-full but very easily built up to full with very little effort & without caking up. The shade L60 (light nude) worked perfectly on my light neutral complexion.  I was really impressed with this foundation. It didnt break up and stayed flawless for well over 12 hours on me. For the price point I dont think you could find a better matte foundation,  it even out does a lot of the higher end foundations I have . So all in all , I really cannot fault this foundation.  Would highly recommend.

I quite like this foundation. I found that it lasted all day and had really good coverage. I found that a little bit goes a long way and that it blended well. To be honest though i'm not sure I would purchase this again as there is another matte foundation I usually use that I prefer.

As I normally use foundations that are a little bit on the expensive side, I was a little hesitant to break out of my routine and try something different. I was definitely surprised at the quality of the product. Not only does it look nice, it also feels great on the skin and doesn’t look caked. It gives a really great coverage and does not go oily or shiny. I sometimes mix it with a moisturiser to soften it a little bit also, for a minimum coverage look. Overall it is a really great product and I would definitely use it again.

Beautiful coverage and good colour to match my skin tone. Blended amazing and lasted over 8 hours. Great packaging, very easy to travel with and throw in a purse or gym bag. Would recommend to friends and family, might invest in a few other shades to see the full range.

On the whole, I really liked this foundation. It provided good medium coverage that could be built up to full and was very easy to apply with a good consistency. It lasted for a full day and did not budge which was great. It has a matte finish, which I definitely prefer. I did find it had a slightly strange smell however, a little bit chemically.

Wow I wasn’t expecting such great even coverage I was so excited to try a new matte foundation as my skin tends to get oily very quickly I found coverage lasted about 6 hours and my skin wasn’t shiny or oily while twearing this foundation it applied very easily with a brush and sponge and wasn’t patchy. I will definitely be purchasing when mine finishes.

I have combination/oily skin so I used the Mac prep & prime to prime my face. The texture of the foundation is creamy and not too runny. I found that the foundation started setting fairly quickly once I started applying it so I had to work faster. Once set, the foundation itself had quiet a nice velvety feel to it- it’s not too thin or too thick and cakey. Definitely buildable however I stuck to one layer and went about my day.  I wore it for 10 hours and it held up pretty well.  As per any of the drug store foundation I have used previously- it wore off completely on the tip of my nose and my t-zone was quiet shiny however it held together well on the other parts of my face. Overall this foundation is not super matte and not super dewy. I do have a few blemishes on my face and I found that it does not cover them completely. I would definitely recommend it if your skin tone is not super oily and you’re looking for a basic foundation with a light to medium coverage. 

I found this foundation easy to apply with brush or sponge. One layer was medium coverage, I was able to layer to a high medium without it looking valley.  My skin looked smooth and matte after application. It lasted a full day on my skin with only needing to powder once. If you were really oily it may need more touch ups.  I’d recommend this foundation and look forward to wearing this summer.

Covergirl trueblend matte made is  a full coverage foundation in my opinion, very easy to layer up covers blemishes and dark spots very well. I have been applying this foundation with brush , beauty blender and sometimes even with my fingers it’s very easy to blend on any skin type. It comes in few shades so it does cover almost all skin tones ! Available at most of pharmacy and supermarkets. Foundation itself comes in a glass bottle with easy to use pump top. It’s matte finish result is very comfortable to wear. It last about 4-5 hours on my oily to dry skin .
