Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift

Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift is a beautiful, hydrating eye treatment. I love the metallic tip for application because it really is cooling, soothing and reduces the puffiness I experience around my eyes of an evening. The scent is subtle, almost non-existent - perfect for irritable eyes like mine. A little tends to go a long way, and thanks to the squeeze tube, you can choose how much you use each time. Dermalogica never ceases to amaze me with their products and Stress Positive Eye Lift lived up to its expectations.

Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift comes in a slim tube with a metal applicator. It is an eye masque that you can either work in or tissue off after leaving on eye area for 3-5 minutes. The eye masque is opaque white, lightweight, gel-to-cream texture. It has a faint lavender scent which is common with Dermalogica products. After cleansing I apply around my eye area and leave it on its own for a few minutes before layering on my eye cream. You can wipe off the eye masque but I prefer to just leave it on overnight for a more intense treatment.  The cooling metal applicator is soothing for my sensitive eye area. Its like putting cucumber rounds on my eye area without the wet mess to clean up afterwards. The eye masque has hyaluronic acid for hydration and niacinamide to lighten the dark circles. It has Vit E and oils such as castor and jojoba for nourishment. I use this eye masque whenever I feel like my eye area looks tired or stressed out. I normally use this at night as it has heavy oils such as caster which might not look right under makeup.   Consistent use over the last 2-3 months has shown an improvement in my dark circles and puffiness. Its softened the greyish shadow on my eye contour and reduced the puffiness on my left eye. Because of its lightweight texture, the application process is a breeze; I just tap it on with my ring finger. The product does not irritate or bother my delicate eye area. I was surprised by the immediate cooling sensation of this lightweight eye gel and also how little I needed to use for it to quickly absorb into my eye area. I wasn't able to detect much of a fragrance except a lovely minty scent. While the gel didn't make a difference in terms of lightening dark circles, it instantly refreshed my undereye area. Not only did it instantly wake me up but it also left my undereye area hydrated for several hours. I was only able to use a sample of this product but perhaps with extended usage there could be long-term benefits. It is a great daily boost for tired eyes.

Some products in the market may be pleasant to use but do not deliver results. Some products deliver results but you may wish that they are a little more user-friendly. This Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift is one of the few products that is not only a pleasure to use, delivers results, AND, it comes in a clever and innovative packaging. Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift is both an eye cream and eye mask. The product itself is a white coloured gel-cream with a natural botanical scent. It comes in an easy-to-squeeze soft plastic tube with a metal applicator which acts as a massager. To use, squeeze the tube gently and the product would come out to the metal applicator. Massaging the applicator around the eye area does not only give a cooling and relaxing sensation on the eye areas, this design is also so hygienic that there is absolutely no touching of the product using finger tips.  The product remains in the tube clean and fresh. I like to use this product as a mask every night and also on the days that I am not wearing any makeup. I squeeze a generous amount of product and apply it thickly both under eye and on the eyelids. Upon massaging, there is a slight tingling sensation which indicates me that the product is already working. My skin feels both more relaxed and more lifted. The product (formulated with hyaluronic acid and sea water extract) is very hydrating, and the look of fine lines around the eye areas is immediately reduced. After using this product for a number of weeks now, I am very happy with the results. My eye area looks well-hydrated, and overall I look more rested and less tired.  Since this product has a gel-cream consistency which is quite light, I find that I have to use more of this product compared to other eye creams in order to get a good coverage of the entire eye area, making it quite expensive to use as the tube does not last very long. However, I found that it is difficult to find a product that is both effective and comes in a good packaging such as this.  Therefore, I would recommend others to give this a go.

I received a sample of this eye cream and decided to pack it in my hospital bag when I had my baby (1 month old today!), and after using it during my (sleepless) stay in the hospital, I was impressed with the results! While my eye area didn't look amazing (let's face it- nothing was going to completely counteract a weeks' lack of sleep), it did help revive my tired eyes  and the area looked much smoother, hydrated, brighter and overall better than I expected, given the circumstances.  The product has a lovely gel-like texture, applies effortlessly and a little goes a long way.  It has a very light, refreshing scent that doesn't linger or irritate. At $95 it is pricey, but in my experience the results warrants the price. Highly recommend!

I was lucky enough to receive a generous sachet sample recently from Dermologica of their stress positive eye relief. This is an expensive product and not something I would buy without testing first. Because my sample was in a sachet I cant comment on the actual container/applicator of the full size product. The cooling tip applicator that comes with the actual full size product does sound amazing! This product promises a lot and again with the price point I would expect a great result. It is very easy to apply and only requires a tiny amount tapped around the delicate eye area. There was no strong scent or irritation and it felt very light and refreshing on application.I didn't notice any major difference after three different applications but there was some de-puffing from the treatment and my eye area did look refreshed but in saying that no more than some of the less expensive brands that I have used. This is a product to be used when there are visible signs that need a quick fix. Nothing will completely restore damage to this delicate eye area but I'm sure this product will also smooth over and prevent further problems. I loved the experience of trying something new and would recommend this treatment for those who can afford it. It would be fabulous to use on/after long haul flights and for special occasions.
