Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance WOMEN Smoothing Night Cream

I was lucky to be given this product for trial. This night cream is light weight not sticky at all. It has a slight scent which I didn't mind at first but ended up liking the scent. I have tried it for about 3 weeks in conjunction with the avene serum, to be honest it has not made a difference to my skin. However it feels lovely and hydrating when applied to the face. If I were to be asked about repurchasing it, I probably won't since it didn't have drastic affects on my skin. Overall it is a gentle, moisturising night cream.

I used this smoothing night cream in conjunction with the serum and would have to say that this product is average at best for my skin type. I have combination skin, where it's quite dry on certain parts of my face. I felt like this cream just wasn't hydrating enough for my skin (as I do usually use a thicker dewy cream at night). This would probably do better as a day cream for me as it's lightweight. I will probably pass this cream onto my mum to use as she has normal type skin. Thought having said that, Eau Thermale Avene stock some great products and this particular product has not swayed my thoughts about this brand whatsoever.

I was lucky enough to get to trial the Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Women Smoothing Night Cream and boy have i fallen in love! I manage to actually use the product every day, which is not something i usually am able to do, as i found myself actually enjoying the smell and I how my smooth my skin felt afterwards. The texture of the product was really enjoyable to place on my skin, and I found that it really worked to get rid of break outs, especially in my most oily areas my forehead and chin area (basically the T zone). But i found that this product really managed to clean up my skin and with 0 time to apply! I recommend Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Women Smoothing Night Cream to all my family and friends!

I am in my mid 30s and suffer from hormonal acne, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, pigmentation and congestion. So anti blemish products which also tackle signs of aging really appeal to me. I appreciate brands such as Avène formulating a range for adult acne sufferers. I find this night cream lovely to apply, very smooth and hydrating without being sticky or too heavy. It has a light texture and fragrance, but it is a bright orange/peachy colour which is a bit of a shock at first. Thankfully the fragrance isn’t as strong and overpowering as the serum from this range. I can’t say I have noticed a huge difference in my skin tone and texture yet, but tackling pigmentation is a slow process! If you haven’t used a retinol/vitamin A derivative make sure you introduce this product slowly. It recommends nightly use, but I only use every second night otherwise it’s a bit too strong and I’m not new to retinols. Overall it is a good active product and great value for a retinaldehyde night cream.

I've used several Avene products before (OBSESSED with their Thermal Spring Water) so I was looking forward to testing this out! Packaging is nice and sleek, and pump is easy to use. The first thing that really surprised me was the colour - kind of like a bright orangey hue - didn't expect this at all! It blends in seamlessly though so it doesn't leave any kind of tint on the skin. In fact, the texture was so light I mistakenly thought this was a serum instead of a night cream. A little goes a long way, so I only needed a pump or two to cover my entire face. There is however quite a strong scent which may be offputting to some - I didn't find it very bothersome myself. While I did find it to be hydrating, I can't say I noticed too much of a change in reducing spots or smoothing out skin texture. It did work very well on my oily skin though and I didn't wake up looking very greasy or shiny. Overall, would recommend!

I love this! This is the best night cream I have ever tried. This is a great smoothing night cream. It leaves my face feeling hydrated, smooth and fresh. It is not too heavy either and the application is easy. I usually have problems with creams being too heavy and making me sweat or leaving my face feeling gross and greasy. Not this one! While trailing this product I have not had an acne breakout. It leaves my face feeling smooth all day. I will definitely consider using this product in future....

I really enjoyed this night cream as it doesn’t feel greasy or add extra oil to my skin. My skin felt smooth and hydrated after using. The texture felt light compared to other night creams. There was an overall improvement in both the appreance and texture of my skin. It seemed to even out my skin. I did have a smaller amount of breakouts but this could have been hormonal too. The smell wasn’t overpowering. The size is great for everyday use and travel size. I use a few products by this brand so this will be a nice addition to my routine. I will purcasing again to see how it goes long term.

The Avenue Soothing night cream is a nice lightweight moisturiser in a gel consistency. I found it had a nice texture and easily absorbed into the skin. It had a strong scent, not unpleasant at all, but I was hesitant as sometimes my skin can get irritated by fragranced skincare. However upon trying I had no issues. I think this is a nice summertime moisturiser for the night time as it has a light texture. My preference would be something slightly more hydrating in the winter time. I would look to repurchase for hotter months as I found it was hydrating and also did not irritate my skin.

This night cream, used in combination with the serum, made my skin feel smooth and clean and moisturised without being greasy. I noticed a reduction in the size of the pores around my nose with regular use over a few weeks. It's super easy to pump out and apply (pumps seemed to do the trick), not to mention more hygienic that being in a pot. However for some inexplicable reason the cream is a pale orange colour (which goes clear upon application). On top of the fact that the cream has a strong (albeit pleasant) smell, I felt like it was just a bit too chemical-y for my preferences. With the smell just being too overpowering combined with the serum I wouldn't continue to regularly use.

I have been using the Avene Cleanance Smoothing Night Cream for about 3 1/2 weeks now. It has a lovely consistency and feels amazing on my skin. It does have a slight fragranced scent but it did not irritate my skin at all. I do not believe that this night cream has made a huge difference in my skin but it is a beautiful night cream and I have been enjoying applying this each night. Would I repurchase this item? Probably not. There wasn't anything bad about this product but it wasn't a standout for me. I usually love Avene products but this one hit a little low in my book.

I really enjoyed both Avene products I was sent to review. Both products did have a distinct smell, but it wasn’t offensive to me, and the smell faded over time. I found this product to be a great addition to my skin routine and was great to use in a skincare cocktail of the sorts. I didn’t notice it helping a whole lot with my hormonal acne, but did notice that my pores appeared smaller, and my skin felt smoother and more even the next morning. One pump was enough, a little goes a long way and application was easy, it went on really smoothly. I used a toner, then the Avene serum, and then layered this on after, finishing with an oil. I’ve really enjoyed this combination of products and my skin has been looking really great. I would recommend using the serum and the night cream from Avene in conjunction with each other.

I received Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Women Smoothing Night Cream and Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Women Corrective Serum as part of a trial and I am very impressed! I used these for just under a month. Normally just before my period break out pretty badly with hormonal acne on my chin and jawline. That was supposed to happen last week and NOTHING! Not one pimple!!! I had used the smoothing cream at night as recommended. It's a light creamy texture with a pleasant fragrance. I found that it absorbed really well and left my skin feeling hydrated. My skin feels smooth and soft. I would definitely recommend this product and will continue using.

This felt like a very light nighttime moisturiser. It absorbed well, didn't make my skin oily and caused no irritation. I appreciated the light texture but the scent was a bit much for my taste. On it's own I feel like it didn't provide enough moisture for my combination skin and after a few days I started adding a hydrating serum to my nighttime routine. I don't think it made much difference to my skin besides being lightly moisturising. Pores were the same, acne was still there. Perhaps it simply wasn't strong enough for my skin?

A really lovely night cream that leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated without the greasy feeling. The texture is much lighter than most other night creams which made it feel nicer on the skin. I haven’t had any breakouts yet while trialing this product but I’m unsure if that is due to this product or my skin going through a good phase. I did notice an improvement in skin texture though. Overall I would recommend this product but wouldn’t expect life changing results in terms of skin appearance.

These days I break out only now and then. The Avene Cleanance Women range has a host of star ingredients to help adult acne and reduce the leftover dark marks. As it has retinaldehyde (Vitamin A) and glycolic acid, it can sting more sensitive skin. With products like these, introduce it slowly to your routine to build up your skin's tolerance and use at least SPF30+ daily! I like the packaging of a convenient and hygienic pump. I use 1-2 pumps of the orange-red, thin cream-lotion and it quickly absorbs into my skin. I do find if you don't apply it in to the skin straight away, it can pill a bit. The floral fragrance (a typical Avene skincare fragrance) is noticeable on the first few applications, but I quickly got used to it. As part of trialling this with the Avene Cleanance Women serum for 4 weeks, I noticed a general smoothing of my skin, slight lightening of darkened marks. I felt it didn’t reduce my acne and a few new ones popped up in the first week but no dark marks were left by these new ones. Although this is labelled for night use, I did also use it in the morning at times. The price is reasonable for the effects I've seen and I will keep using it.

38 years old & oily/dehydrated skin Occasionally I have some hormonal acne on my chin & cheeks My main concerns are pores, pigmentation & skin texture (acne scars) Avene is the brand I have been using since I was a student and it’s always been a trusted brand for me. This night creams contains the best active for anti aging - Vitamin A retinaldehyde. I’m not sure all of the kinds of Vitamin A but I believe that retinaldehyde is very effective and importantly less irritate for the skin. This cream is good for refining skin tone and texture & also, it improves the appearance of blemishes and marks. I’ve used Vitamin A products before and now I’ve been using it for every night for 4 weeks. It’s a light texture and it easily soaks into the skin. I didn’t experience any tingling or irritation which is great but if you try retinol products for the first time, I recommend that you try it a few times a week and see how your skin reacts. Every night I do the double cleans and pat dry my face with towel then I apply this product. After applying this product, I wait for 15 to 20 minutes to let it absorb into skin well and finally I apply moisturizer. If I feel a bit of dryness, I layer the moisturizer again but to be honest most nights I felt enough hydration on my skin and didn’t felt any dryness/dull in the morning. My main concerns are my skin texture & open pores and in this regard my skin texture has definitely become soft and supple after using this product & the serum from same range. I didn’t see a dramatic improvement for marks though but I’ll continue using this product and hopefully I can see my acne marks fading a bit in the future. Overall I’m really happy with the results using this serum. Avene is very widely accessible and quite often you can find it for a good discount at most pharmacies. I highly recommend it.

I received the Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Women Smoothing Night Cream as part of a trial team - thank you to Avene and BC for the opportunity to try this cream out. This cream is designed to help reduce blemishes, marks and smooth and even out skin tone and texture. It is enriched with Vitamin A and helps to reduce acne scarring. The cream is of a medium to thick consistency and is orange/red in colour. It has a sweet scent, which can be a little strong, when it first comes out of the bottle, but it does not linger on my skin for too long. It is absorbed well into my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated and supple. I have noticed a reduction in the redness on my cheeks, which is left over from old acne scarring, which I am pleased about. It comes in a simple pump bottle with a twist locking mechanism and a clear cap. I find that two pumps are sufficient to cover my entire face. Will definitely continue to use this night cream post the trial period.

Really enjoyed being part of this trial with Beauty crew for this Avène product. Loved the size of this bottle and it was easy to store away, compact and not too big or bulky. As I trialled this with the serum, I found that I had to pump more than once to get a sufficient amount of product out to apply to my face. This Night cream is also scented, at first it is quite strong then fades away. The cream is orange in colour and absorbed well into my face when I applied it as I used both serum and night cream together at night I did notice a difference in the morning as my face glow has improved and doesn’t look as dull, my skin texture has improved aswell.

Would happily give this product more stars if the smell wasn't so over powering. This product ticks soooo many boxes: 1. Easy to apply 2. A little goes along way 3. Doesn't make my skin oily 4. Works AMAZINGLY in conjunction with my normal skin care products 5. Could see definite improvement in skin texture But the smell is just too full on. To the point that even my housemate commented on it every night when I would apply it. Which is disappointing because for all the benefits the smell seriously outweighs them

I have been using this moisturiser and accompanying serum for a few weeks now (serum morning and night and moisturiser just at night) but haven't yet noticed a change in my pores, blemishes or skin texture. Although the moisturiser feels pleasant enough on my skin, it is not a very hydrating moisturiser and not what I would normally use in my night time routine. For anyone who has dry or dehydrated skin, you would need to layer another moisturiser on top of this or use hydrating serums such as squalane or facial oils underneath. I am planning to have skin needling soon so will use this and the serum afterwards for a combined effect on my skin to hopefully see a change.
