Pleasantly surprised
I have really enjoyed this product, and I think it performs really well as a broad spectrum sunscreen that is particularly well suited to situations where you aren't getting heaps of sun, but might be heading outdoors for a few hours. It's not overly thick or greasy, which is nice, and has a relatively inoffensive smell. I usually only purchase sunscreens made by Australian brands (makes me feel like they understand what our sun is like!) but this product certainly performs just as well. Beware, however, that I will need to be reapplied if you are sweating/swimming, as it has little in the way of water resistance.

Does the job
A good sunscreen with high protection from the Aussie sun. I have sensitive, pale skin and used this on my body for days spent at the beach and other outdoor activities. The cream is quite thick in consistency compared to its lighter facial cream, and spray companion. It leaves a slight white cast when you first apply, better after a little bit of rubbing in but does take longer than other lighter sunscreens I’ve tried. I will say I was perfectly protected every time I used this though and have very pale skin which burns easily. Also no irritation which was a plus. I’ll happily use this in the beach bag until it’s done, but will probably choose the spray bottle over this one for future.

Not too thin, not to thick- just right!!
I really enjoyed using this whole SPF range! Right who enjoys sunscreen??? Me, after experiencing avene sunscreen I can honestly say it does stand out from the rest.
I am working on being better and doing better and wearing SPF daily is inclusive of all off that, so U can't get enough lately (especially as I also use retinol products at night). This sunscreen is great and versatile. It isn't too thick and only has the slightest sunscreens fragrance which is expected. The consistency is what made it a winner in my eyes. Not too thick and not too watery, giving you confidence that it will provide you with protection and be wearable, without sweating off.
The avene sunscreen does leave you with a slight white cast, but it disappears literally after 5 mins. It give you a slight sheen, but overall is great and lived up to expectations of a SPF.

Decent high SPF sunscreen
This is my least favourite of the Avene sunscreen range, but it isn't a bad product. This is a thicker lotion and comes in a regular tube with a pop cap. I didn't use it on my face, but did on my arms and body and found it protected them well from the sun. It leaves a light white sheen but isn't incredibly noticeable, especially over time. The plus side of this sunscreen is it is a perfect beach bag addition, great consistency for full coverage SPF for hot days in the sun. The reason it doesn't rate higher for me is I use sunsunscreen daily so I'm a fan of products thst work for daily use alongside my regular skincare.

Enjoyed using but not perfect
Quite enjoyed this SPF. The SPF rating is quite high so suitable for the Aussie sun. Worked well to protect my sensitive skin and didn't cause any problems of burns. Worked well under makeup but did leave a white cast and stayed quite tacky to the touch. The smell is also fairly pleasant and not too sunscreen-y. I do recommend!

For Face & Body
This comes in a 100mL squeeze tube with a flip-tab lid. It's water resistant for 40 minutes and provides uva protection of spf 50+. It's formulated to use on the face and body.
The sunscreen is a bit thicker with a faint scent. It applies easily but does leave a white cast on the face that I have to rub in a bit. Overall, I don't mind it if it means I get coverage for both face and body from one product and especially at the beach where I'm makeup free.

Great protection, average wear and feel
I tried this sunscreen on both face and body. I found in both applications, to use an appropriate amount, that it left a significant white cast unless you spent a good amount of time rubbing it in. It lasted well for several hours in the sun and was not overly drying however it did leave a sticky residue. I found the scent of this – particularly compared to the spray and the emulsion – to be less pleasant and more overpowering. Wearing the sunscreen according to the instructions, I did not take on colour or burn following exposure to the sun.

Thick consistency - good for some
A very thick cream which is not the easiest to spread. The fragrance is quite pleasant. I would not buy this again as it is not the easiest to apply and need to make sure it is rubbed on well.

A very luxe sunscreen!
This is such a lovely sunscreen to use! The liquid spreads really easily and it feels like you get an even application every time. The finish isn't oily or greasy, instead quite matte and smooth. This definitely feels like a luxe sunscreen that is so gentle on the skin while providing a high grade of sun protection.

Good but not perfect.
This sunscreen has very high protection. It sets rather quickly but it does remain a bit sticky and will leave marks on clothes. It didn't irritate my body or my face but did make my eyes burn if I put it near them. Also, there was a tiny bit of a white cast. The scent was nice, not very sunscreen-y. Overall, despite the downsides, this sunscreen is very good for the high protection it provides.

Great sunscreen!
Awesome product! It’s lightweight and absorbs easily, I spent a full day at the beach and followed the reapplication recommendations and I didn’t get burnt at all. Doesn’t feel greasy or sticky at all, will definitely be repurchasing!

Avène Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+
Avène Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ has a really high SPF rating which I love, the product isn't too thick and can be easily spread over the body after a while. It also isn't too oily on the body, however for my face, I would probably use a different sunscreen. Good protection for the summer time.

Love this sunscreen
This tube of wonders is perfect now that we are heading into summer. It is light and nourishing irritable and most of all it provides spf50 protection! I've used this on my son who has ezcema and it hasn't irritated his skin at all. Perfect sunscreen for the face and body!

Thick formula, good coverage
Nice thick formula, good coverage but a little difficult to spread. Not oily and doesn't leave a filmy/sticky on the skin. Wouldn't recommend for a pool or beach day as the suncream isn't very waterproof, only 40 minutes.

High protection for sensitive skin
The Avène Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ is a great, non-greasy, solution for defending sensitive skin from the harsh summer sun. It goes on smoothly and is lightweight and hypoallergenic, without compromising on sun protection.

High Protection
I absolutely loved this sunscreen and the protection it provided to my skin. Despite it being a thickish sunscreen, I didn't find it too greasy nor heavy on my skin. In addition to this, I noticed it didn't leave a white cast and sunk into the skin reasonably quick. For the size and brand, this price is well reasonable. I will definitely repurchase in future and keep it as a staple in my beach bag.

Great sunscreen
I am really into applying a high potency sunscreen when going out everyday, as since I’m getting towards 40, I want to keep wrinkles well at bay.
I have never used Avene before, but I have heard it is a good brand and was impressed.
The first thing was the smell of the sunscreen. It is really lovely, (very French!), it doesn’t have that horrible chemical smell that a lot of sunscreens have and it blends beautifully j to my skin.
I applied the sunscreen to my arms and legs and it felt really moisturising for hours, until I had a shower that night.
I would definitely buy this sunscreen again as it was extremely good quality and a pleasure to use.

Must have Summer Product
I was fortunate to get on the trial team for this product and found it to be a really effective and easy-to-use product.
I really like this sunscreen as its quite thin, and spreads really easily over the skin. The only down side I found to this product and range is the scent. Although it is subtle, it smells very sun screen-y.
Overall a great product, and I would definitely purchase again as its super easy to apply.

Perfect for beach
Loved this sunscreen! The bottle is a generous size and feels sturdy so you don't have to worry about it leaking in your beach bag. The product is absorbed into your skin quickly without feeling greasy.

HIghly Recommend
Amazing!!! I am definitely going to continue to purchase this brand. I have sensitive skin and a lot of sunscreens burn and feel awful on my skin. This range is amazing, i use it everyday now. It feels beautiful on my skin.
