I am familiar with Elucent, having tried some products previously from them (and having some OKish results),so i was keen to give this a go. The Elucent "Even Tone" range is one specifically for those who are seeing either the dark spots that come with being "of a certain age" and having been less than vigilant with the sunscreen (it is widely said that this issue is seen by many as more ageing to the skin than the lines and sagging we usually associate with "looking older" ) OR those who suffered with acne in the past, and are seeing scaring from that time that has left dark areas post healing. But how did it stack up ? Well, this light, very fluid lotion (with no real detectable scent) was very easy to use (after cleansing, I applied the Even Tone Dark Spot Corrector to my main areas of concern, which for me is around the sides of my face, under my eyes....always been a huge issue for me) and on the backs of my hands (yep, the first tiny brown spots have started here).I am not one who suffers from any real "sensitivity" to my skin,so i cannot say that i found this to be irritating in any way (if you ARE prone to this,i suggest either doing a patch test OR leaving it altogether),but i did find this to be quite moisturising for a lotion consistency (this contains ingredients like Safflower Seed Oil that claims to help visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots and give the skin an all over brightness, whilst also being nourishing,as well as Lactic Acid....a brilliant exfoliator) and as this is a very light lotion that absorbs into the skin quickly,it sits under makeup well.I used this twice a day,AM and PM for a few weeks, and to be honest,i did see some slight improvement in my condition...and i mean only a very slight difference in my uneven skin tone and pigmentation. At this stage, after only a few weeks (i know it can take some time to fade out what is sometimes YEARS worth of darkening),i can't say that i am convinced....but i will persevere. At around $50 for a 30ml tube (a very clean, simple looking tube....white with soft blue accents),it is a great place to start on your road to even skintone and dark spot reduction....just don't expect a quick fix. TIP:Apply to any areas that cause concern with dark spots twice daily (after cleansing and moisturising) and use sunscreen after to prevent further darkening OR production of new areas.
After cleansing, I dispensed a tiny amount of the Spot Corrector to areas of pigmentation and spots left by acne scarring. It left the areas very shiny and glossy looking which was not ideal but not a deal breaker as I would continue to apply either the day or night cream afterwards. Unfortunately as I did experience an adverse reaction using this in conjunction with the day and night moisturiser, which required me to stop using the products during the trial period over three weeks, I did not witness any reduction in pigmentation or spots. In fact if anything, due to the adverse reaction (bumps, dryness and itchiness of the skin) I ended up with more spots than I did at the beginning of the trial period. I think any products targeted at reducing pigmentation require much longer term use to reap any benefits, however due to my allergies, I won’t continue to use this product so cannot validate its claims to reduce pigmentation.
Would not recommend this at all.  Product package information is inadequate and contradictory.  Doesn’t say whether to use as a spot treatment or serum.  Too runny to be a spot treatment and completely ineffective for either serum or spot treatment. It seems like there just wasn’t any thought given to it at all, or perhaps the thought was to confuse consumers so if they weren’t happy with the result, the ambiguity in the directions gave a safe out to the manufacturer.  Did absolutely nothing for me and wasn’t enjoyable to use at all.  Really rather annoyed that such a useless product exists.
If you want something that will help with uneven skin tone, pigmentation and dark spots then I would recommend NOT using this. The product is very liquidy, it has a tacky feeling when you put it on and it just sits on your skin. I gave this product a lot of time in hopes that it would eventually work but it did not. For the price and the lack of results it's not worth it at all.  You're better off spending your money on something else.
I was really excited to try this product out when I purchased it because I had been looking for a product to help get rid of my acne scars and pigmentation.  They have always made me self conscious so I was desperately looking for something that would deliver results.  Unfortunately this product did none of the things it promised.  It comes in a tube and the product itself is quite runny.  I remember squeezing it very gently and a lot of the product came out.  The spot corrector had a weird scent and when I applied it to my face it felt quite sticky.  It took awhile for the product to absorb as well which I did not like.  After using it for almost a month I saw absolutely no difference.  My scars were still there, the pigmentation hadn't even changed one bit.  I tried it for another two weeks after in the hopes that it would give me what I wanted but sadly it made no changes.  It was a waste of money
