More like a tinted moisturiser

This french BB Cream only comes in one orange-beige shade but is marketed to say it has 'self-adjusting pigments'. The formula includes glycerin, Vit E and Hyaluronic Acid. The product is rated at SPF 20. The product comes out quite dark from the tube and I initially thought it would be too dark for me (MAC shade NC17), but due to its very light coverage, it blended in fine. There is a strong soapy fragrance that I'm not fond of. It is quite moisturising and a little goes a long way. The coverage is too light for me to hide any imperfections. It is more like a tinted moisturiser than a BB cream. It also left my combination skin a bit greasy. I suppose those with dry skin would enjoy this more as you can apply more of it and perhaps get a better coverage. For me personally, Korean BB creams are much better.

Moisturised, radiant skin with natural colour

I had never tried this brand before but am always on the lookout for a great bb cream as I often like something lighter rather than a heavier foundation, especially for day. I really loved this embryolisse artist secret illuminating bb cream. It feels nice and light to wear and covered imperfections and helped disguise pores. It’s very hydrating which I loved without any oiliness, great for winter when my skin needs a little more hydration. The colour does adjust to skin tone, mine is olive and I found it looked lovely on, I just added a little bronzer on cheekbones. My skin looks brighter and quite radiant when I wear this so it’s well worth the money, I can tell it’s a high quality product. There are cheaper bb creams on the market but if your willing to pay a little more money this one works great

Really enhances my complexion

We may not be able to travel to Europe any time soon, but thankfully we can still pick up high quality French skincare and make-up in Australia. Embryolisse is another pharmacy brand that is not as familiar to us as some of the others, but has really nice mid-range skin-care and I was happy to see that they have make-up too. I am always on the lookout for the best BB cream for light or no-makeup days – I have a go-to but Embryolisse has become my new favourite. It has a creamy, foundation-style texture that blends very easily over the face to provide a light, non-greasy and matte finish. At the same time it feels very moisturizing, not drying or settling into pores at all – just what I need for my dry skin. Not surprising as it contains skin-protecting ingredients, hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E. It offers only one shade as it claims to have self-adjusting pigments. I have to concur – this adjusts perfectly to my fair skin tone, unlike my usual go-to which promises the same but is slightly too dark and needs more blending. Obviously there is no real coverage and I don’t expect this in a BB cream. Instead it gives colour and warmth to my skin, and a your-skin-but-better appearance, exactly what I am aiming for. I have only two criticisms. Firstly I haven’t found this BB cream to be especially illuminating in spite of its name, and I can’t say that it really blurs all imperfections, although it definitely improves my skin’s appearance. Secondly the SPF 20 factor is quite low, and I would like to see a higher SPF, especially for a BB cream as for me I use this for more active, no-makeup days usually spent outdoors. I find I need to add sunscreen before applying this BB cream. Finally, the cost – at $46 for the 30 ml full-size, Embryolisse is more expensive than other pharmacy brands, but less expensive than a luxury brand and is still a good mid-range option. Although a little over-priced, it is something I would repurchase because it works for me.
