Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place High Cover Concealer SPF 30+

WOW is all I can say about this amazing concealer! It comes in a small compact with a mirror included and there is a decent choice of shades available, ranging from cool to warm shades. I have some dark circles, but I’m mainly concerned with the redness around my nose and on my upper cheeks. I was immediately drawn to this concealer as I am a big of the Estée Lauder Double Wear range and because this concealer has added spf protection. This concealer really is heavy duty, as it’s super pigmented and a little really does go a long way! If you’re looking for a sheer, luminous concealer then this product wouldn’t be the one for you. However if you have stubborn dark circles, blemishes or pigmentation then this concealer is a must-have. I generally apply this product under and around my eye area, as well as on any areas with redness, and it instantly brightens up my entire face! I prefer to use this concealer with the tip of my BeautyBlender as I find this gives the most natural, even coverage. However you can also use your fingertips or a concealer brush to provide more pigmented coverage. The formula is creamy, non-drying and doesn’t settle into any lines around my eyes. It lasts really well the whole day, and doesn’t smudge or crease. I really like the fact that this concealer contains such high spf protection which is an added bonus if you have fair skin that tends to burn easily. The compact is quite small, however as this concealer is so concentrated I find it lasts me at least 6 months which makes this product great value for money. There is no noticeable fragrance or scent, so it doesn’t irritate my eye area. It is also easy to remove at the end of the day with a good eye makeup remover designed for heavy or waterproof makeup.  This is my go-to concealer at the moment as it lasts the whole day and provides full coverage, that doesn’t look heavy or unnatural. It’s not too cheap but in my opinion it’s a great buy as it lasts a long time, and you only need to apply a small amount each time. The handy little compact makes it ideal for my makeup bag and for travelling.  I will most definitely repurchase this concealer as it delivers great lasting results. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants full coverage, that still looks very natural.  Five stars for sure!

This comes in a handy 3 gram plastic compact with a mirror in the lid. It is made in Canada and SPF 35 which is great if using on the eye area as it's difficult to get SPF for eyes that works with makeup and doesn't cause irritation.  I am shade 1N1 Ivory Nude in the Double Wear foundation and chose 1W Light Warm as the slightly yellow tone seems to more effectively cover my dark circles.  The product is quite thick so I apply with a mini beauty blender and gently pat out with my ring finger to blend.  Once it is on and sets down it does not budge (just like the foundation) and even if your eyes are teary or if you suffer from allergies like myself in spring weepy eyes aren't a problem for this concealer - it sets and stays until you choose to remove it.  It easily covers any imperfection, even the darkest of dark circles are no problem, pigmentation or spider veins are also no problems anymore for me when I use this concealer.  If you don't want to wait for a little dry-down time then a light dusting of setting powder will set it and it won't crease - but if you have an extra few minutes you don't need to set it, it won't crease, flake or separate as the day goes on, even under extreme conditions.  Great performer and you need so little it lasts and lasts, I've had mine for a few months, use it daily and barely made a dent in it.  Another benefit of this concealer is I can use it on no-makeup days, it blends seamlessly with my skin and I can confidently go to the gym and no it won't budge and looks completely natural on a bare face.  In cooler weather it can become a little stiff, I just warm it with my hairdryer for a few seconds.

This cream concealer comes in a small compact with a mirror. It is very heavy duty (I like to call it "industrial strength" concealer!) - it covers my dark circles, dark spots and blemishes completely. Once it is set with a light dust of loose powder, it does not move or crease (which is really important when used on my wrinkly under-eye area). At the same time, the concealer is very creamy and blendable so that it looks completely natural even when used on naked skin sparingly. This concealer can be applied using a brush or fingertips. I prefer to use my fingertips as the temperature of my skin warms up the product, and makes the blending process even easier. This concealer is very clever because it comes with sunscreen. Most sunscreens (or moisturisers with sunscreen) are not recommended to be used around the eye area - this concealer bridges that gap so that my eye area has the sun protection it needs.  On top of that, when used on dark spots / sun spots it has a dual function - conceal and protect further spots from developing. Make sure that after each use the compact is tightly closed to prevent the product from drying up.
