Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Curling Mascara

I received a small sample size of this product and I was so impressed that I ended up purchasing the full size as a sneaky little treat to myself. I have given this product a full five stars out of five for a number of reasons...let me share why (with a few recommendations and an overall review of this particular mascara): 1. The formula of this mascara is bang-on, it's the perfect everyday mascara because it looks rather natural on the lashes but holds a curl LIKE A DREAM. It also provides a decent amount of volume but if you like a lot of length this is definetly the mascara for you! I find I tend to wear this mascara predominately during the day however it does layer very nicely on the lashes if you want to build up and create a more night-time appropriate effect.  2. The lasting power of this mascara also really impressed me and it is one of the main reasons that it has fast become my favourite everyday mascara. It claims to have a 15hr hold and although I don't think it's exactly 15 hours but it does last a really long time, without flaking off which is fantastic! 3. The wand on this mascara is perfect and I really like how it is slightly curves because it really allows you to get in there and coat every lash. The curved wand I also think is a big part of creating that wonderful curl to the eyelashes because it hugs the lashes and lifts them up following your natural curve of your eye. I personally have thick but very straight lashes and this mascara helps to completely transform my lashes. 4. Lastly this mascara also really impressed me because the actual formula took a long time to dry out (even in my small sample size tube it took over 6 months). I find this important as especially in this case, this is a rather expensive product and it's extremely annoying when you pay good money and the product does not last at least 6 months as then I don't really believe you are getting your money's worth...). As I just mentioned the single downfall of this product is that it is quite pricey (but if you do not have the budget you could always buy this as a treat as there are some very good drugstore alternatives out there (probably something like the L'Oreal teloscopic). To increase it's life-span you can also add some eye drops when the formula begins to dry out-I tried it with this mascara and it helped make it last that little bit longer!
