I was lucky enough to win a jar of this luxe beauty elixir! Poor little fifty year old me could never afford such luxury, but the Beauty God's must have been smiling down on me that day.
I've given this cream a solid six weeks of use before writing this review, to do it justice, and to really see if a face cream in this price bracket could make some visible difference, and live up to it's claims.
Firstly, the packaging was the initial giveaway that we were in elite company; an enormous gold box, with black embossed frontage, hinting at a black diamondesque pattern. Once the lid was lifted, the gold theme continued to the jar, with jewelled lid and spatula, used to minimise contamination caused by application with finger tips.
The jar was easy to unscrew due to it's heavy nature (important for those of us with arthritis), with a black safety seal that could be flipped with a thumb, to reveal a pale, rose coloured crème within. The cream itself was redolent of apple blossoms, and reminded me of a faint scent of Chloe's See.
Application was smooth, and the cream itself, whilst not overly thick, was very soothing and moisturising, and appeared to melt into my skin quickly, leaving a velvety finish. I was left with a slight sheen, but without the shimmer, and my dehydrated skin felt relaxed and plump.
I must say, over time, my deeper lines have not reduced, however the fine lines I'd been developing have subsided, and I feel that there is a slight 'lifting' quality' to the product, and the cheek area is definitely plumper. I never feel like my skin is drying out, even after a long day! Bonus, and definitely happy with the results.
The price point is why I've not given this product five stars. I think my husband would have a fit if I purchased this!!!
Any Tips?:
If you have severely dehydrated skin, as I do, you may still need to use an oil/serum underneath the cream.
Ideal For...:
Mature skin, and those with moisture balance problems would definitely benefit from a constant dose of this potion.
I'll finish by saying that I'm quite upset the jar has finished, as I'd never be able to purchase another, and the results were great! We all love a little heavenly luxury in our lives, and I wish everyone would get to experience it, if only once.
