Estée Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover Lotion

Estée Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover Lotion is an interesting way to remove makeup. You apply to dry skin, massage in and then either remove with a tissue or rinse with water. I chose to rinse with water. I apply a small amount to a full coverage foundation and massage it in. The lotion instantly changed colour to that of my foundation and you could see it removing and you massage. I then rinsed with warm water. With the full coverage foundation I found it left some markups still on my face and I felt that I needed to double cleanse to properly remove. With all other makeup it removed sufficiently to only need to single cleanse. I feel like I’ve had better results with other removers but this is still near the top. Surprisingly every time I used this my skin was so soft and supple after like I had used a mask not a makeup remover.

Love this makeup remover lotion so much because it removes my makeup effortless without causing breakouts or irritate my eyes. My skin feels nourishing and not drying after cleanse which is perfect for me as I have dry skin. A bit pricey but I'm a big believer in investing on a cleanser that is able to remove every tiny bit of impurities off my face.

Woohoo at seeing this return to the Estee Lauder product listings!  It is a product I loved using that was replaced with 'Take It Away Makeup Wipes'  a couple of years ago. So good to see it is back.  Now I don't know about you, but paying around $45 for face wipes was not an attractive option, so I reluctantly started using other brands. Now I can plan a visit to an Estee Lauder counter again.  Straight up, it is on the more pricey side for a cleanser or makeup remover at $50 for 200mls.  There are numerous, cheaper options on the market.  But I feel if a product works really well, and doesn't irritate my eyes or sensitive Tzone, that I don't mind paying for the quality the product delivers.  This delivers on everything it promises and then some.   I find it to be a unique product, unlike others I have tried, and I am sure Estee Lauder would have had many requests to re- release it. The remover is housed inside a sturdy, 200mls plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The packaging is both attractive and functional. The remover lotion is the same blue colour as the packaging. It is applied to dry skin, and this is where the value of the product is evident, as literally only a small amount is needed to completely cover my face and neck regions.  This bottle lasts me many months. I also use it to remove eye makeup, including usually stubborn mascara. I never need a separate eye makeup remover afterwards, as this 100% removes all traces. Once it's had a little while to work, it is then rinsed, or tissued off. Personally I prefer to remove with a cotton pad and warm water.  My skin feels more thoroughly cleansed with the water method. It leaves my skin feeling so clean, soft, and ready for further skincare products. I definitely don't need to 'double-cleanse' either, unlike a lot of other makeup removers I've tried. I have had no irritation or unwanted reaction, which is remarkable, given I use it all over my eye regions.  Goes to show how amazing this formula is! If you're after a top-notch, highly effective makeup remover, you will be hard pressed to find one better than this gem. Very highly recommended!
