Estée Lauder The Illuminator Radiant Perfecting Primer + Finisher

This is a nice primer. It makes your foundation go on smoothly, it feels good on the skin and I found that it makes my foundation last longer. I’ve tried this primer with many different foundations and found that it works consistently well with all of them. This primer doesn’t have a strong scent it’s more on the neutral side and it spreads easily on the skin using your fingers.  Why I give it four stars and not five is that I didn’t really find it to be that illuminating, even though it’s portrayed as “The Illuminator” and is described as a Radiant Perfecting Primer and Finisher. It does give a slight illumination to my skin but it’s definitely very subtle. Therefore I would recommend it to someone that’s not looking for a lot of illumination in their primer, but to someone that just doesn’t want a matte primer. It didn’t make my skin shiny at all.

I use the Estée Lauder The Illuminator Radiant Perfecting Primer + Finisher as a makeup base. My skin has uneven tones and dullness and I use this primer to brighten my skin smooth out my skin, let it dry down the apply foundation. It made my foundation stayed on so well, didn't dry out my skin but made my skin looking flawless with radiant. Highly recommend this product.

I hardly ever use illuminating primers as my skin tends to shine and become oily from time to time. I opt for those mattifying ones. However, I was given a sample of this primer and decided to give it a go. I like The Mattifier and The Smoother from the same series, so my hopes were high. And the primer doesn't disappoint. I use it with the original Double Wear, and oh my god, it makes this foundation look flawless. Double Wear tends to become dry and might accentuate the wrinkles ( if you have any), but with this primer the skin looks healthy and glowy, but definitely not shiny. It prolongs the longevity of make up as well. It makes the skin look even and smooth. The formula is easy to blend, pearlescent in the finish, but it looks very natural. It reflects the light in a beautiful way. I probably wouldn't use it with a glowy finish foundation, but with all the matte and satin ones it is a winner.

OH MY GOODNESS! BUY THIS PRODUCT. this Product is amazing! I love the estee lauder double wear foundation because I have blemish and acne-prone skin, however, I have dry skin which makes the double wear flake and crack throughout the day, which is also not too great for my skin as it gets dehydrated. But this primer was a game changer. It provides a natural glow and at the same time, coats your pores to protect it. it is also not too drying, and the stickiness of it disappears within seconds. If you have dry skin but want a matte look, which doesn't stress your skin, I highly recommend this. Even if you don't have dry skin, if you want a more natural matte or glowy but not overly dewy look, this is the perfect product. It did not break me out.
